Wicked Day, LA

We went to Wicked Day the other day at Universal Studios, City Walk and got to see a few performances and heard who the LA cast was going to be comprised of:

Elphaba: Eden Espinosa
Glinda: Megan Hilty
Madame Morrible : Carol Kane
Fiyero: Kristoffer Cusick
Nessarose: Jenna Leigh Green
Boq: Adam Wile
Doctor Dillamond : Timothy Britten Parker

There was lots of free goodies including "go-green" makeovers (face-painting, green hair spray), green and pink cupcakes, green witch hat cookies, free goodies (we got posters which we later had autographed, sampler CDs, a button, green zinc-oxide sticks, and Wicked water bottles). KOST 103.5 was there and overall we had a blast! I also saw Wendy Worthington who played Emeline Partridge (ie the Nanny) in the Tower of Terror movie. Turns out she was just there as a fan, no connection to the goings on. She is a wonderfully personable lady and was a joy to meet and briefly chat with.

I have videos of all three performances (The Wizard and I, Popular, and For Good) but they are all over 100 MBs which is too large for YouTube or MySpace.

Thank you so much for the pics. I really wanted to go on Monday, but couldn't get off from work. I've been trying to find video clips of the performances, how were they?

I saw Megan Hilty on Broadway and she was wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing the show locally and I already have tickets.

Man, I TOTALLY wish i'd known about this... I coulda and woulda gone :( DAng it.

Thank you for all the pictures and video. I wish I could have been there.

There is something about hearing "For Good" being perfeormed live that gives me goosebumps every time.

I gotta say - Megan Hilty singing Popular to the guy in the crowd was a riot! :lol:

That was classic, lol. I love Megan Hilty and I haven't even seen Wicked yet! But based on that performance, she's great!

I went, I'm thrilled that Megan and Eden are returning, but isn't anyone else tired of reused cm's?

I mean I was hoping to see someone entirely new take on the roles.

Agreed. As much as I loved Megan (haven't seen Eden myself, but I've heard she's fantastic) I'd really love to see some new faces in the roles. Half the fun for me is seeing how different actresses play the same role!
