I saw the trailer with Hitchhiker's Guide too (which I liked, but realize that is because I'd read the book first.... The left out the whole part about the Philosopher's Guild being the one's responsible for the Earth's destruction because they didn't want to be out of work... which would have happen had they had the correct question to the ultimate answer.)

Lohan has that "smart girl next door" kind of cute, which I much prefer over the "not a brain in her head" Paris Hilton kind of slutty. Both are just about young enough to be my daughter.

My family and I go and see every Disney flick that comes out. Fell asleep during Home on the Range, but we stll go to every single one whether we think we will like it or not! So of course we'll go see Herbie and Chicken Little. Looking forward to Madagascar also, ( I know, not a Disney flick )!

I had a very similar reaction. I was really excited to see a new Herbie movie until I saw the trailer. When I went to see Hitchhiker's at the El Cap I picked up a flyer for Herbie and was asking my friends if anyone wanted to see it once it came out. No one did. They thought I was insane. I guess they had seen the trailer already. Well I was still excited for it, but after the trailer ended - oh my. I tore up my Herbie flyer and appologized to my friends for asking them to see such dreck.
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

Same reaction. the billboard looked amazing, but the trailer looked so horrific. "Fully loaded" must have been what the Dick Cook was when he green lit this loser. And the trailer is usually the best parts. Linsey Lohan could be on a stripper pole in the middle of the racetrack and still not save this dud. Herbie's eyebrows made me want to puke. When people make sequels and have no sincerity or any sense of creating logic no more credible than a "Banana Splits" episode they deserve to get panned. It should be a new box set with the Country Bears and Flubber.

If anything, maybe this will inspire a younger generation to see the Herbie Movies- I saw the Box set at Best Buy last night. I personally thought Freaky Friday was going to suck and I was pleasantly surprised- maybe there is still hope for Herbie <crossing fingers>

Speaking of Herbie- is anybody going to see him in person?
