Re: Where should you buy your copy of 'Cars'?

I'm very dissapointed that there is no 2-disc.

Any word on if/when one will be coming out???

This time of year if we buy any DVD's they are Christmas presents anyway, so I can wait.

Circuit City for me at 13.99. Best price for me considering there are none of the usual bonus features.

I'm gonna buy it because I never saw it before and I am incredibly fascinated with all the details, all the way down to the little sparkles in the paint, Pixar incorporates into their stuff. I have heard many good reviews and can't wait to watch it !

Re: Where should you buy your copy of 'Cars'?

Susie, The Little Blue Coupe is on The Love Bug two disc special edition, though it does suprise me that it was not included on the Cars DVD. I'm also supreised that it is not a two disc relase as all the previous Pixar fims have been

PS I bought my copy of Cars at Wal*Mart, for the bonus DVD which almost makes up for the lack of a real two disc set... and why didn't they include the teaser trailers?!

Hey, this is kind of random.

If horse racing is the sport of kings, then is drag racing the sport of queens?

Australia had an exclusive Cars deal for a while there at EzyDVD in which you got an exclusive tin and a bonus disc (containing much of the same stuff on the US Wal-mart bonus disc exclusives), but they've sold out of those and are just down to the tins now.

Re: Where should you buy your copy of 'Cars'?

Thanks for detailing the various extras being offered by
many of the stores. As you said, I too was becoming
frustrated by the various options, and "exclusive" extras.

I really don't need any more "set of 4 lithos", I have oodle's
already from the Disney Store, in their heyday. I did see
the offer at Target, but you end up paying $5 extra for
their exclusive dvd (which does appear to be superior to
the "making of the video" extra on Wal Marts special.

But what I was really looking for was a lenticular picture
from cars (as I LOVED the Cinderella and the Lady and the
Tramp lenticular pics) Thanks to this topic, I was able to
identify Best Buy as the place to go, and I tracked down
a local store that still had the Lenticular picture.

Oh, Target was also offering a small pin free with purchase,
    while supplies last.

Re: Where should you buy your copy of 'Cars'?

From what I've heard and read from various sources, a beefed up 2-Disc version of the Cars DVD will be released next year.

Supposedly work is being done for Blu-Ray/HD-DVD releases as well, so DVD owners may get a dumbed down version.

Warning: Circuit City is lieing about the price. I went to Circuit City to get it for $13.99. They had it for $19.99. The ad is misleading. I went to Target instead.

Wow! I wish I would have seen this earlier. I just got the regular version at Target & got the really lame pin as the bonus. It was an unexpected little surprise, but I would have rather gotten some of the other extras instead.

Ok so I got mine at Target but it didn't have any bonus disc or a pin. What's up with that?

Bought mine at Best Buy. The poster is 3D. I wasn't sure if there was even going to be a 2-disc version coming soon because I haven't heard of one. I knew the DVD release was only going to be single-disc so that made me suspcious. Double-dipping, YUCK!
