Just opened today in Hayward at Southland Mall. Today was mailing list only, but you can sign up at the door and get in. The current line for purchases is TWO HOURS. I'll personally try again tomorrow.

Took them long enough to make it back to the Bay. They used to come to Vacaville every year, which is a pretty easy drive from V-Town. We are on the mailing list, I think, but we didn't get a thing this time. Hopefully I can check it out before it disappears again.

What is the Character Warehouse?

It's an outlet store full of official Disneyland merchandise. They have a weird mix of stuff and it is usually hit or miss. You can get some really cool merchandise there and we always go before we check into our hotel. The one by Disneyland is located down Harbor in a strip mall on Orange Thorpe. I'm sure the locals will help you with the address!

Saw some small 50th things, pins, keychains, but left when we saw the wait, even without having to get the boy to hockey practice. I'm going back, and thought about looking around, but decided against since there's no guarantee anything today will be there tomorrow. They do get more shipments in over time, and it will be there until at least early December. Southland is the Mall west of 880 between Winton and Jackson/SM Bridge exits. The store is by the Albertsons, not in the main mall with Macy's et al. It's a crap shoot. If you like it, there's a chance they will only have size XS, or the discount won't be that much. But it can be 80% off in some cases.

Hey thanks for the info -- I have a long drive to get there, but I hope to make it over there before it's gone. If you do go back by there, could you please-please check their hours and days of operation??

Much less crowded now. I got a few 50th things-xmas ornament, shirts, magnets mug; they had a decent amount of stuff like that. Clothing as always will be hit and miss. Quite a few HM and POTC figurine/display things for $5-7 each; I've gotten them before. Quite a few of the sports jerseys were there, too. Open 10-9 except Sunday 11-7.

Hey, thanks for this -- it says there will be one opening in Tracy on 11/17! That is much closer for me. Awesome, you saved me a long drive.

I guess they needed SOMETHING to get more people out to Southland this christmas....that place is one of the worst malls in the Bay. Oh well. Maybe I'll go check it out when I get home. Thanks for the info!
