After they crash-land the remaining part of the ship on Coruscant, and Obi-Wan says something like "another perfect landing", they cut to the landing platform, where you see a lot of ships taking off and landing. The Falcon comes in to land in the bottom right corner.

But I do have to say I'm finally accepting of Ewan as Obi.. something about it wasn't settling for me before.

Basically I feel like they should have just made this one and skipped the other two. Or made them in reverse order and ask, "Well, what do we NEED for this movie. This way there would have been some suspense for the next movie, since basically we always know what's going to happen next.

Funny how the first Death Star took about 30 years to build and the 2nd only took 3. There were a lot of cut scenes from this movie too. I know this because I collect the action figures and some of the figures made were not in the movie, i.e. Mon Mothma, Commander Bacara and Kathy Bates

What I noticed as a key difference between the first trilogy and the recent trilogy is a lack of understanding of the locations. Ep's 1-3 seem to race through locations without really "saying" much about them, whereas in Ep's 4-6, you get to know locations a whole lot better, as well as the people who live there. Did Ep's 1-3 give you any insight into any of the alien races and their cultures? Maybe Jar-Jar's race, but that's about it. Everyone else they seem to just race past like so much background noise. I think Ep's 4-6 examined their surroundings a bit better. Perhaps that's because of the nature of being hiding rebels, or perhaps that was an oversight in the writing (because let's face it, Lucas comes up with a good story, but his execution in writing the script...)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

There were a WHOLE lot of cut scenes. Scenes like the Explanation of "The order of the Whills" (The meeting between Yoda nd Qui-Gon) and a more in depth scene at the end of the Anikin/Dooku Battle.

DVD Extra's? Or a Possible "Special" Theatre Realease down the line.

Hold me, Anakin! Hold me like you did by the lake on Naboo.

Yeah, Lucas' forte is NOT dialogue kthnxbai.

I had to hold my mouth shut from not laughing too loud at that!!!!!!

It really pains me to see Natalie Portman in that. I love her as an actress. It's almost a waste of talent for her.

That was such a horrible line. I almost puked when I heard it, those love lines are not Lucas' strong point at all!

Yeah....was wondering about that too. There is dialogue in Episode 4 referring to the Death Star being "now fully operational", so yeah....massive job there. But man, talk about job security. A 20+ year project?

I suppose one could argue that the second Death Star actually begins construction some years between ep 3 and 4.....oh well.

And I did notice Mon Mothma in the credits, but dont remember seeing her. So her scene was cut eh?

Is it just me or was Ewan McGregor channeling Alec Guinness the whole time? So good.

    Haha, despite the bad dialogue:

    Spoiler
when Yoda said to the emperor... "Not if anything to say about it have I!" and he was all PWN PWN PWN. Even though Yoda was pretty much pwned, too.

The sad thing is that most of the actors in Star Wars are good actors. I've seen Hayden in other things and he is really, really good... and we all know about Natalie Portman and Ewan.

Ok, so where do I start? I saw the film today with a lot of friends, and I have got to simply say - I enjoyed this film so much more than any other Star Wars film. That might seem stunning to old-school Star Wars fans, but I saw the prequels first, and I actually thought the Phantom Menace was pretty good! Anyway.

I was gobsmacked by this film. The CG is unbelievably realistic, it is quite surreal that they completed this film in three years. Yoda is the best example of this back breaking work. The close-ups were really cool, and I think the battle between the Emperor and Yoda in the Senate Chamber kicked the battle between Vader and Obi-Wan's *** - way better.

I have got to say Yoda is my favourite Star Wars character, and he is best in this film. He whoops arse! This film made me feel like laughing, sad, excited and kept me on the edge of my seat for most of it. Palpatine is extremely sinister, I really wish Yoda had killed him - but then where would Episodes IV, V and VI be?

Again with Yoda, what ILM did with the CG in Episode III should be done to Episodes I, V and VI - Yoda looks so much better in CG. I was quite suspicious when it was announced Yoda was to go CG for Episode II, but the end was result was and is fantastic.

I really hate Anakin, love Padme, and (oh my god I need to get a life) I stood up and clapped when Yoda defeated the Clones who were ordered to murder him. My friends were very embarassed.

And that brings me to the sad parts. I really felt angry and sad when the Jedis were betrayed, and it made me hate Palpatine any more - you can't really blame it on the Clones, after all - they are just Clones. Ki-Adi-Mundi, the Jedi with the weird mouth, and the two female Jedi were all murdered after Order 66. Gggrrr..... Mace Windu being betrayed by Anakin was terrible, I love Mace Windu. Great guy. And Padme's funeral brought a lump to my throat - I had never seen Naboo so distressed. It looked like things couldn't get worse for Naboo......if only they knew.......

I thought two things were quite out of place though - firstly, Darth Vader immediately asking how Padme is after his transformation ("How is Padme? NNOOOOO") Hello, you are now the most powerful Sith in the galaxy - get over it. Secondly, Padme immediately announcing the names of her babies seconds after giving birth. Cool to have a big nod to the 'sequel' trilogy, but she thought of those names pretty fast.

I really felt this episode did tie everything up neatly though. It showed the fates of Leia and Luke in pretty cool ways, we got to see Alderaan and Beru and Luke's uncle (I always forget his name) again, we got to FINALLY see that fight between Obi-Wan and Vader, we got to see Yoda whoop *** over and over again (in case you haven't noticed, I really like him), and Padme wore Leia's buns! Hahaha that was a great nod.

I felt sick when Anakin killed the 'younglings' (what is wrong with 'kids'!?), and was majorly pissed off with Anakin Force choking Padme. *******. Anyway, George Lucas has worked tremendously hard on this film, and the acting was superb - except Hayden Christensen, who always gets a bit melodramatic. The CG was mindblowing, the sets (the real ones) was intricate and the music brought the hairs on my neck to a stand.

Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith deserves five out of five stars. I cannot wait for the DVD.

Oh! Another complaint! I was so excited when I saw the Mon Mothma figure that she became one of the few toys that I actually bought (I don't collect, just buy the ones that I really like). And I saw the pic of the actress on the cover so I thought "Of course, she starts the rebellion so she must have been one of the senators." Then she wasn't there. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD. I was always happy that a woman started the rebellion.

RobotPirates, I love that "George Lucas no longer owes me 8 bucks" phrase. I'm going to steal it and use that when I'm talking about this movie with other people. Not on the board though. THat would be rude.
