    Star Wars Memories

What are your favorite memories since 1977??

    Mine are:
    • Watching Episode IV for the first time in '77 when I was only 4 years old. My parents took a "booster" seat with us to the theater so I could see. It was the first movie I never fell asleep at, and I was hooked from that point on.
    • My 7th birthday party was Star Wars themed. My teenaged brother even made a "Pin the Tie-Fighter on the Death Star" game, with brilliant detail, and each kid had a different colored tie-fighter to aim for the "trench". My aunt helped me make "poster" decorations of my action figures by placing them in various "scenes" on her office Xerox machine.
    • I had a major crush on Luke Skywalker all throughout my childhood.

I'd have to say my least favorite memory was when my mom took away my tickets for ROTS at midnight last night because of a bad grade on a math test. ive basically been waiting since preschool for a new Star Wars and now its over and I never experinced a midnight show. Bleh it didn't help to have all the kids who used to make fun of me for liking Star Wars talk all day about how great it was and how I should have been there. Sorry for a depressing entry, but I'm bummed out.

I have fond memories of being scared half to death by Salacious Crumb.

I've always been proud that I never was pressured by people around me to watch Star Wars, I came to like it on my own. I was at my Grandmas House when I was about 7 or 8 and found my uncle's original trilogy, so I popped it in, and loved it. I then went out and bought the original trilogy (i paid 5 dollars my mom paid for the rest), and funnily enough it was the last time they released it without the special editions so here I am 10 years later, proud of my 7 year old self for buying it.

A few weeks ago I went to a Rugby game in Wellington, and it was Star Wars theme night, they had Boba Fett there, and then Darth Maul came and had a lightsaber fight with the Mascot, and of course the Mascot won. Nobody can beat the Hurricanes. Though it did bug me that the announcer kept anouncing to the thousands of people in the stadium that it was Return of the Sith, but meh, they were all drunk, so I guess I was the only one who really cared. It was kinda cool seeing the Star Wars trailer on the Jumbotron. ahhh star wars....
    What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

I remember waiting in line for 3 hrs before the 1st film. I was 6...

I remember being scared of the cantina, Chewbacca and the trash compactor monster.

I also remember being very very very attracted to Han Solo and Luke Skywalker and not really understanding why...
