Great stuff Uncle Theodore! Thanks for posting these. Of course, the fact that I was a teenager when most of these first ran makes me an old-timer, I guess.

Quick comments...That Alka Seltzer campaign (which inclued the newly remade "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" as well) was a classic.

From the McDonald's spot - "Far out"? And as some might recall, the "you deserve a break today" jingle was written by Barry Manilow, who did several other classic jingles including the "like a good neighbor" one for State Farm Insurance.

Wow, that McDonalds commercial was sooo Kroft Superstars-style! Weird. I had a McDonalds playset that was just like that, with a train that went around the outside, all the characters, and of course, a McD's restaurant, complete with food on little plastic trays.

I'll have to come back and watch the rest, but I love the Mean Joe Green commercial from when I was a kid.
    A signature should go here.

When I was a kid I would always tell my mom, "I want the cereal Mikey eats!"

My mom had no clue who the hell Mikey was!

Radiobarry was a teenager, Wendygirl remembers the commericals first hand. What does that make me? Older than dirt? hmmm... Could be.

I like the old FedEx commerical, and the UnCola (7UP). Great stuff. DO you remember the one for some cold med (I forget which) about the Summer Cold being a different animal and having it chase people around? Commerical didn't last long because of truth in advertising reg's. Oh yeah, and you can't forget... Plop, plop, fizz, fizz... Good stuff!

    Great stuff!

    Merry Christmas,
