Upcoming movies in 2007 and 2008 you want to see

What movies do you want to see over the course of the next two years?

Here is a list of movies I want to go and see over the next 2 years:

    2007
    • Spider-man 3
    • Pirates 3
    • Ocean's 3, er Ocean's 13
    • Shrek 3
    • Rush Hour 3
    • The Bourne Ultimatum (Bourne 3)
    • National Treasure 2: The Book of Secrets
    • The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
    • Hannibal Rising (first one without Anthony Hopkins in the role, might be good, might be bad)
    • Ghost Rider
    • Bridge to Terebithia
    • Reno 911!: Miami
    • 300
    • Evan Almighty
    • Transformers
    • Revenge of the Nerds (remake)
    • The Dark is Rising
    • Saw 4
    • The Simpsons Movie
    2008
    • The Dark Knight (Batman 6, or is it Batman 2?)
    • Indiana Jones 4
    • Angels and Demons (Da Vinci Code prequel/sequel - book is prequel but movie will be sequel)
    • Bond 22
    • Power of the Dark Crystal
    • Rambo 4
    • The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
    • Iron Man
    • X-men 4 (I guess this will feature the younger x-men)
    • Wolverine
    • The list I got all these from also had Jurassic Park 4 listed for 2008, as well as Terminator 4, Toy Story 3, Star Trek 11, and the A-Team.
I was just thinking that for marketing purposes, it's too bad Eon Productions isn't releasing a James bond movie in 2007, er, 2-007.

Not true. Brian Cox was Hannibal Lecktor in Manhunter (1986).

Re: Upcoming movies in 2007 and 2008 you want to see

Most of those movies sound like crap to me. But I'm extremely picky about movies so I digress.

I plan on seeing Pirates 3, Shrek 3 and maybe the Simpsons movie (if it looks like it might not suck) this year. 2008 I'll probably see Batman (if Christian Bale is in the role again), Narnia, Indy 4 and Dark Crystal.

    That being said....

Not to sound like Aimster 2 Electric Bugaloo, but me too!!

That list sounds horrible.....I can't stand most sequels and franchises.

I'll see Pirates 3 (have to, with the kids and all), Shrek 3 and National Treasurer 2, but will probably wait to see all three at pub theaters for $3!!

I can't wait to see Terabithia.

I didn't even know they were making half the movies listed.
But I want to see Pirates, Shrek, Batman, Narnia, Harry Potter (my favorite book, here's hoping the movies good) Spiderman (just to see how it ends) The Golden Compass, Wolverine, Ratatouille...and probably others I don't know about yet. When does Hairspray come out?

I saw the trailer for Shrek 3 today when I saw Night at the Museum, and let me say...that is the worst ****ing trailer I've ever seen. Even if the movie is good, the trailer was so cheesy and stupid that it made the movie look like a crappy straight to DVD release.

Re: Upcoming movies in 2007 and 2008 you want to see

I'd like to see the following:

    2007
    • Spider-man 3
    • Pirates 3
    • Ocean's 13
    • The Bourne Ultimatum (Bourne 3)
    • National Treasure 2: The Book of Secrets
    • Bridge to Terebithia
    • Transformers
    • The Dark is Rising
    2008
    • The Dark Knight (Batman 6, or is it Batman 2?)
    • Indiana Jones 4
    • Angels and Demons
    • Bond 22
    • Power of the Dark Crystal
    • The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
    • Star Trek 11
As for sequels... Some of these aren't so much sequels in the traditional sense as they are another story involving the same characters. Pirates 2 and 3 are technically one movie split in half and separated by almost a year. Chronicles of Narnia is only a sequel because the book is a sequel, though they aren't planning on doing all 7 of the books as movies, only 3. Angels and Demons was written before DaVinci code so technically we've already seen the sequel. The Bourne trilogy again is based on books that are a trilogy, so that makes logical sense. Shrek, well, anything after the 1st one I couldn't stand. They ended it with a happily ever after, made a boatload of money and decided to milk it for everything it's worth (Shrek 4 will release in 2-3 years and will be the final, finally, movie). Pirates did the same technically, but I have more understanding for that one than Shrek. Things like Star Trek, Indy, Bond and Batman are set up from the very get go as things that can and will continue. They are very contained "events" in the lives of the characters. Almost like tv episodes, or comic book issues. National Treasure falls into this category as well.

I'm really looking forward to the Dark is Rising as those are some of my favorite books and I really hope they find a way to do all 5. Ok, maybe just 4, Over Sea, Under Stone isn't totally necessary to the story. And the Power of the Dark Crystal has me intrigued as I loved the first one growing up.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

True but Night at the Museum was much better than I thought it would be.

I want to add Enchanted to my list.

Same here. I was pleasantly surprised.

I also want to see Mr Bean 2, even though the 1st one was less then spectacular. Mostly re-hashed stuff from the TV show.

    Pirates 3
    Enchanted (this looks sooo good!!)
    Becoming Jane

Those are the only three I know of and/or care about.
