From small town to head of Disneyland
By 4:30 Wednesday morning, Matt Ouimet, the president of the Disneyland Resort in California, had stopped serving breakfast to 1,500 of the resort's third-shift employees.

It wasn't a routine part of Ouimet's day, but the annual event for custodial and maintenance workers did represent the former Unadilla resident's commitment to showing his employees, no matter their position, that they are respected, valued and appreciated.

About 70 other Disneyland executives also participated in the two-hour event at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ball Room, dressing in 1950s attire in honor of the resort's 50th anniversary on July 17.
