    Feasting on Asphalt

Anyone seen this? It's Alton Brown's new show where he takes a motorcycle across America and eats "road food" along the way.

They're doing a late night marathon of it on Food Network right now, and I've been really enjoying it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

    Re: Feasting on Asphalt

Good Eats is an amazing show. Feasting on Asphalt is extremely funny. Alton can make a joke out of anything he or others say or do. I like this particular show because it is mostly unscripted. One of the funniest parts was when Alton and his crew was at Pikes Peak making coffee and Alton dropped snow into the pot by mistake. I love to hear about food history and I love to cook, Alton is the only chefemist (chef + chemist) who gives a history lesson while he is preparing something.

I enjoyed one or two episodes, but after awile I started to feel sick to my stomach. I hope he got some good veggies in when the camera wasn't running.

I remember seeing the episode where he wiped out on his bike and broke his arm or something. Ouch!

I though that it was funny. They actually made several commercials after his accident to promote the show. He was shown in a doctor's office. I really like how he is on the bike and continues talking to the camera and does not look at the road. That was probabky how he had his accident.

Great show! Watch it when I can. I also like Good Eats. He's also a great announcer on Iron Chef.

Has anyone tracked down any of the places he went to eat and got something from there?

I haven't seen that show at all. Good Eats is okay but the fiance and I watch Rachael Ray a lot as well as Iron Chef. The Fiance does not like Alton Brown that much really

Alton is interesting because he goes into the how's & why's of different things instead of just cooking. It's like the Food Network's version of Bill Nye the Science Guy.

I liked this show. I enjoy his Good Eats program also. My son is 6 and enjoys to pretend cook and thinks Alton Brown and Rachel Ray rock. Every night we have to watch their shows

I liek the food rachel ray prepares, but she annoys the heck out of me. I do waych it though... There are three shows I will not watch. One is the last food TV winner...somethign big bite, then there'a the show where two guys cook together, but the worst one of all is the barefoot contessa...I enjoy all the rest though...
