does anyone know who he is?? i just bought a 2-disc cd set of his blues recordings. back in the early 1900's until the 60's, he and his father traveled around the south and recorded blues & other "traditional african-american" music. lomax was the first person to ever record muddy waters and recoreded some of the most prominent blues musicians ever. lead belly, son house, mississippi fred mcdowell, honeyboy edwards, blind willie mctell, skip james, howlin' wolf, and so many others.

does anyone else know about him? i find it fascinating. just a simple tape recorder and musicians. blues, epecially blues music that is this old, is the purest form of music to me. so raw & emotional. i love it!
