    Thumbs up Idiocracy

I never noticed this movie until a co-worker recommended it. Basically Luke Wilson plays an average guy who participates in an experiment to be frozen for a year. Things happen and he isn't unfrozen until the year 2505. The whole world has gone completely stupid!

If you've ever felt that society seems to be on the decline, you'll love this movie.

O-nut, I'm specifically recommending this movie to you!

I saw this advertised, and I almost rented it the last time I was at a video store. So, I'll do so based on your recommendation, Soulquarian. Many thanks.

Does "Futurama" get any percentage of the gross for this idea?
    (How about Wahington Irving?)

68% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'll wait for the HBO showing.

lol. Some parts definitely seem familar to Futurama, but wow. The people in the movie are incredibly stupid. People go to the musuem of FART for educational experiences...

... but Mike Judge has the benefit of having lived through an actual "idiocracy".

After the last Presidential election, meritocracy has never looked better.

I saw this movie in a theater. It's funny, but it's no Office Space. I think if you go in expecting it to be as good, you'll be disappointed.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

    Re: Idiocracy

I have to second the motion of seeing this movie. It's highly entertaining and it really does make you wonder where our society is going. Agreed that it is no Office Space. But, I think you should still see it if you have the chance.
