Has anyone been to the Disney Soda Fountain store next to the El Capitan? And if you have been there, Have you eaten in the store? Is there food good?
I'm thinking of going there after I see Wicked at the Pantages Theatre for dinner.

Its a great place to go. I have only gone for ice cream which is out of this world. Everytime I see a food tray come out, I keep telling myself Im going to order that next time but have not yet. Make sure you check the hours and the movie show times because it gets crowed right afer a show in the theater...
While waiting early one morning for a pin I accidentally found out about the Mickey character breakfast. I joined in and it was great! Now, if only I could find someone to share that Pin Trader Sundae with ... LOL!
We eat at the Soda Fountain after every movie that we see at the El Capitan. Their food menu is limited, though they've added many more things in the last year or so. I believe the website shows the menu as of when Nightmare in 3D was showing there. They usually have a themed dessert for each film that comes out.
I'm not sure I'd think about eating there after seeing something at the Pantages, but YMMV.
I haven't eaten any of the food there besides ice cream but from what I have seen it looks good. Sandwiches and spaghetti are popular. I have seen the ceasar salad once but it didn't look to appetizing.
Mickey character breakfast?
They have hot dogs and grilled cheese, both were good. Not stellar but they are what they are!
But Im' no sure Id' ever "eat" there... I prefer to be hungry for dessert. Ice cream is my favorite mealAnd their sundaes are great!

Here is the info on the Character Breakfast I ended up going to accidentally ... they didn't check tickets or anything so I ate for free.
There WILL be an "extra fee" event in connection with the Santa Clause 3 (for the 10 am performances ONLY, though) that you might want to consider. Disney Character Dining is coming to Hollywood Boulevard! For a super-duper family day out, you may start your Santa Clause 3 celebration by taking in a Character Holiday Breakfast which will be scheduled before selected 10 am showtimes!
The Character Holiday Breakfast will be held next door to the El Capitan Theater in the Disney Soda Shoppe. Tickets for the Santa Clause 3 Character Breakfast cost $15 each. If you buy your tickets on-line at the El Capitan website (see the link to El Capitan's website at the bottom of this page), you MUST ALSO purchase tickets to a performance of the Santa Clause 3 movie that's held ON THE SAME DAY. (You may buy both your Character Breakfast and your 10 am movie tickets at the door...BUT, tickets are selling briskly & they may likely be sold out in advance.) While ordering on-line involves paying a $2 per person service fee, it's worth the peace of mind to know that you WILL get into the event before you head off to Hollywood!
The Disney Character Breakfast starts at 8:30 am. If you're coming from a distance, don't forget to allow plenty of time to get to Hollywood. Even on the weekends certain freeways (I-5 and US 101, for example) are jam-packed with cars at that time of the morning. After you eat, then you'll head on into the theater to catch the stage show and film.
When I went there over the summer I had a peppermint sundae and a lime soda and I was in HEAVEN!!!!! I was so thrilled to go there!
Ah, sounds like a one time event. Cool, thanks![]()

Thanks for all the feedback. It's still worth checking out even if I eat a grilled cheese sandwich and have a sundae afterwards. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
