Tonight, the plan is have dinner with friends and watch "Contact," a film I haven't seen before either.

Oooh... I loved CONTACT. I believe it was the very first movie i bought on DVD many many years ago. It was at Kmart in Goleta (santa barbara) and $19.99. (i remember random things).

Just saw it, and liked it a lot. My only qualm with it is how most of the government roles were one-dimensional. How much is the book like the film I wonder. Also, I happened to visit the Griffith Observatory for my first time just last weekend; there I saw the film "Centered in the Universe" in the Planetarium. If I had not seen that film, I would not have fully appreciated the opening pullback through outer space at the top of the film.

Today I went to the movies and I went to see super hero movie and I enjoyed it very much and I had some good laughs in this movie especially the farting part where his aunt farts a bunch of times lol. You should all see it. You'll have a good time.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico - I'm on a Depp kick right now - Johnny was definately the humor of this movie - and he says 'savvy' in this movie too so I know this wasn't a Cpt Jack new word

Magoriaum something or other - cute, short movie we were surprised how short it was

We've got Alvin and the Chipmunks coming this week - oh and a movie I found on Netflix called Ancient Relic - this guy time travels and gets video of Christ and archeologists find the camera with the images, sounds interesting

    ^Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

Becoming Jane- This was just OK for me. Whenever I watch period movies like this, I always wonder why they put an American actress in the lead role when all the actors are British. I'm not saying American's can't act, it's just I focus on the accent the whole time because of it.

Dan in Real Life- A quirky dramedy. I kept thinking, "No one's family is like this. Anywhere." It would be nice if it were true, but the whole family being up at the picturesque lake house for the week doing morning aerobics and a talent show...come on!!

    Dan in Real Life

I really enjoyed it, but yeah, the family doesn't exist. I was however quite jealous of them all.

Enchanted-I loved this movie. It was funny, fun, and enchanting. I loved Susan Surandon's character costume. All the characters were great.

Totally. Did you watch the making of it, how they all actually lived in the house for a week before shooting. It was kind of funny.

Yeah! I'm huge on watching DVD extras, especially behind-the-scenes-making-of type features.

My family DID that - since my Mom passed away we don't have the 'lake' house anymore - The last time we did that was about 4 years ago and since I'm the ONLY single parent in the family I slept on the couch - so I could totally relate to Dan - so much so as I got ticked off he got the laundry room bed LOL Okay I'm over it LOL

We did the walks, the lake, bowling and parks - we even did the trivia

    The Fountain.

I saw this on blockbuster.com and thought, wow, Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz - I like them, a journey through time and space to save his love. I thought looks like a Time Machine type move - um, no.

Someone on an acid trip decided to get all zen, metaphysical, mayan, biblical whatever. This movie I'm sure was trying to be filled with symbolism and be really cosmically one with the world, but I just thought it was so stupid!

Hugh Jackman being bald and meditating in a bubble, floating through a story and real life was just too bizarre.

I'd say skip this movie. I really regret staying up and watching the whole movie.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

Havoc- Not the best movie in the world, but entertaining. Plus, it was fun to make fun of the characters
Cruel Intentions- Came across it on HBO, I LOVE this movie.
John Tucker Must Die-One of my favorite not-needing-to-concentrate on watching movies. Perfect when you feel icky
Jarhead- I'd never seen this before, damn good movie
