Babel- Good lord was this depressing! Stay away from this movie! It had some beautiful editing, but that is the only positive thing about this movie. Ugh, stay away.
Casino Royale- A good Bond movie. Sonofagun, there is such a thing. Yep, this one is pretty darn cool. All of the 'reboots' these days seem to be winners
(minus Superman Returns, which was sadly boring) and this one is no exception.

The Good Shepherd
I was actually VERY dissapointed in this movie. I love spy/intrigue movies and thought it looked very good. Instead it was 2 hours and 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back. It was very slow, the plot wasn't very interesting and it just fell flat for me. I kept waiting for some big reveal or plot twist, but it never happened.

Watched The Wild last night. I was surprised with this movie. Everyone I knew was talking about how horrible this movie was but it really wasn't that bad at all IMO. I liked it a lot better than Madagascar though. The animation was a lot better too. Overall, it was a good "rent it" movie.
I have also watched half of Scary Movie 4 and blah, I'm not even looking forward to watching the second half of the movie. :yuck:

I saw TMNT and it was okay. Kinda like a drawn out tv episode. I miss Shredder.
Re: the official "What movie did you just see?" thread!
^ Shredder isn't in it??? Aww man, that sucks.
The Pursuit of HappYness
Very good movie. Will Smith was great in it as well as his Son. Just a great movie about not giving up even when you are down and there is no hope of getting back up.
I would have liked to see more about the guys life AFTER he started making all his money, but it was still a great movie.

Well... I guess technically he's IN it since the opening acknowledges that this movie is after the defeat of Shredder. And some exchange of dialogue at the end foreshadow what's to come in the sequel if it's in the works.
Also watched FINDING NEMO again and got teary eyed again. Whew, those little fish can really get to ya!
I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE I also watched and it's so-so. Some funny dialogue but you aren't missing much if you skip it.

Blood Diamond
I had Babel and Blood Diamond waiting to be watched from Netflix. Wally said Babel was depressing, so we went with Blood Diamond (knowing it wouldn't be a comedy).
I knew nothing about this problem when it was happening! This country was so worried about Lewinski-gate, yet this attrocity was happening at the same time. Shame on the world!
Re: the official "What movie did you just see?" thread!
Man of the Year- Staring Robin Williams, Christopher Walken, and Lewis Black in a 'what if?' scenario of basically what if John Stewart ran for president. This movie had everything going for it- but was still boring. I am flaggergasted, such wasted opportunity.
The Pursuit of Happiness- Staring Will Smith in another 'little guy triumphs against the odds story' on this one is done right, and damn good. I highly recommend watching this movie.
The Incredibles- Finally broke down and got it. One of my favorite all-time movies, about as close to perfection as you can get. It's only downside is that its a little long, but that's not much of a complaint. See it! I'm starting a Pixar-collection, working backwards from 'Cars' next up: Nemo.

I was actually kind of glad Shredder wasn't in it. After so many years of the same villain, it was nice to see the Turtles face something else for a change.
Looks like I'll be seeing Happy Feet sometime this weekend.

Agreed. I think that's one of the things that hurt Superman Returns. The enemy was Luthor again. Just like in Superman: The Movie, Superman II, and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. Supe's doesn't have a rogues gallery as cool and deep as Batman, Spiderman, or the Flash. But there is more than 1 guy in it for cryin' out loud.
Just like the Turtles should get a breather from the Shredder every once in awhlie. Bravo on the movie for not taking the Shredder route.

Well you're right as I wouldn't mind a different villain, but I would want someone that was worthy to play villain. I just hated the thousand year curse and the planets aligning like they did in Disney's Hercules concept.
And sorry about Happy Feet.
I just watched DUCKTALES THE MOVIE: TREASURE OF THE LOST LAMP from the VHS. It's still kinda fun. Christopher Lloyd as the bad guy.. haha, so funny.

I've been looking forward to seeing Happy Feet. The music largely from my era.

Wargames & Project X (both were on Movieplex last night).

Flushed Away-
Not that funny, animation was good though.
