Did Across the Universe give you a feeling of Hair/Rocky Horror put together? I want to see it, but my beloved Beatles.......
Yes Ruby in the Smoke - I love BBC movies - so I went to Imdb and put in as a search BBC and it came up with a ton of movies - I plugged in some into Netflix and there is was - it will be sent back by the weekend so put it in your queue and you can probably get it as soon as you put it the top
I hope your watching the LOTR movies in order????? I have to admit, the first one is still my fave - the second, not so much and the third is okay - I'll rewatch once I get my large widescreen TV that I'm buying on Black Friday - now that will make the movie seem larger than life!!!

"Nightmare Before Christmas"
I have really tried to like this movie, but I just don't. I've seen it three times, and each time I am just really bored.

It was more of a Moulin Rouge! meets Hair. Very artsy and the songs, well you either love 'em or ya hate 'em this way. In the beginning, many of the more familiar songs are used. They are well produced any way you look at it though and the actors are all doing their own singing, many times live on set. Julie Taymor, who directed Lion King on Broadway did this, so visually, it's great. I recommend it. It's my #5 movie on my Top 10.

I saw Elizabeth: The Golden Age last night and I'm a die-hard Renaissance buff and I thought to myself, "I could have waited to see this on DVD." It was kinda' slow moving for me and ho-hum. The music was great though and the costumes were AWESOME!
Other than that, the effects didn't impress me much. Meh. But that's just my humble opinion.

Today, I saw "Adventures Of Rocky And Bullwinkle." it was hilarious!! The only thing that sucked is the DVD had major scratches on it and the movie seemed to froze and I couldn't play it, so I wasn't sure what happened at the end.
I like the names Judge Cameo and the of the Generals: Foods, Stores, and Admissions! LOL

So far I've managed to watch two hours of Inland Empire. :thumbdown Weirdest movie on the planet. Very confusing and I overall do not understand it. I think I'm giving it like half a star when I rate it on Blockbuster. What a waste.

Dan in Real life is a great movie. Steve Carrel played more of a serious funny role and he was awesome.

Saw Michael Clayton today. Really great acting and visually really nicely done. The pacing is a little slow, but I really enjoyed the performances. Clooney is really top notch in this.

Sense and Sensibility - one of the most romantic movies ever ever ever! To watch Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman, Emma Tompson and cast - it is so wonderful! I can keep gushing LOL
Mr Brooks - OMG what a fun romp into the mind of a sociopath - has anyone seen it? When Kevin Costner laughs with his concious - it was such a great movie AND there is going to be two more Mr. Brooks movies!!!! Can't wait to see what happens with the daughter!
Knocked Up - okay well, it was funny in parts - I guess the constant drug thing and for Katherine Heigels character to fall for Seth Rogan's character - okay it was a movie I just don't see it
And then bits and pieces of scary movies - come on it's that time of year - gotta watch Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolfman!!!!!

Sunday - The Reaping. OK but not great.
Sunday - Silent Hill. Barely scared my kids.
Monday - Sydney White. Daughter made me take her (schools were still closed due to the wildfires). Wasn't bad and my daughter loved it. Could have done without the beyatch word though.
Monday - Mystic River. Good movie but gave me bad dreams.

I finally saw Pan's Labyrinth. People said it was brutal. Yup, it's brutal alright. It definitely is no Narnia.
