I watched a couple movies during the week.

first up was the very first 007 movie DR. NO. Perhaps it's the generation gap but I was completely bored by this franchise starter. I enjoyed Goldfinger far more. (that's right, i'm trying to watch every single original 007 movie).


Of more recent flicks, I watched BREACH starring one of my favorite actors, Chris Cooper. It was interesting and a decent movie. Not something that is a must see but it is based on a true story so it holds some weight in that regard.


ROGER & ME, the Michael Moore documentary that started it all is still very entertaining.

I tried to watch ERAGON but it didn't hold my interest and I had to shut it off -- something I RARELY do.

the last movie i saw in theaters was Ghostrider which i loved because i adore Nicholas Cage. (i'm not counting Reno 911-that was a waste of an hour of my life). But yesterday i watched The Devil Wears Prada which was really good, but it was weird to see Anne Hathaway in something besides The Princess Diaries.

Just saw the Zodiac last night.

Living in the Bay Area, enjoying Lake Berryessa, and living through the Zodiac "experience" (I still remember it being on the news) makes me kind of a "fan".

Saw Wild Hogs. it as ok, I thought the ending and the ending credits were hilarious.

I thought it was funny when Ty Pennington came on in the ending credits with Ray Liotta and his gang the Del Fuegos got their bar rebuilt by Extreme Makeover. Just a crackup!

I just got Borat on DVD so I watched that last night.

I saw HollywoodLand and Over the Hedge.

In HollywoodLand, I knew that George Reeves was like that, but the movie was very confusing in my opinion.

Over the Hedge was entertaining.

Frenzy, a Hitchcock film.
It was not frenetic.
But it was really graphic, both with nudity and violence.
But there were some GORGEOUS camera shots, some good themes and overall a bad movie to watch but a good movie to see, if that makes sense.

Truman Show: I was in the mood to watch it so I rented it. One of Jim Carrey's best movies.

Casablanca: Everyone NEEDS to see this movie. I hadnever seen it before, but I was very impressed (as you can see in my avatar). I loved everything about it, the lines the characters, the cast...everything. I want to rent more of Humphrey Bogart's movies now.

Citizen Kane: Good film definitely one of the most innovative films ever produced . Though I feel really guilty to say that I got bored towards the end of "The greatest film ever made" I expected to be bored with Casablanca but constantly intrigued with Kane, as it turns out it worked the opposite. Welles is a good actor and the film is well directed I just had trouble keeping interested with the characters. Worth watching though.

Can you believe I saw CITIZEN KANE twice in one day??? Yah, it was for class though.

I never seen CASABLANCA but I really do need to! Thanks for reminding me.

And I didn't like TRUMAN SHOW... but I would have to argue that Jim Carrey's best movie is Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
