Disney Songs get a little Babyish on itunes!

If you were to put in any official sountrack album from a Disney Theme park, you will find that it is under the genre of Children's Music. I sort of feel that it's sort of a false pretense against Disney music, do you agree?

    I hate that, too.

The company should make a better effort to separate the Disney trademark from any associations with children.

It makes sense for Disney to, instead, develop something like a "Mouseketeer" brand extension for items that are directed exclusively towards Disney's youngest audience members.

They used to have a genre of "Disney" but then got concerned about impartiality/fairness among record labels.

I just checked the Finding Nemo:The Musical entry, and it is listed in soundtracks, not childrens'. So maybe theme park music will fall into soundtracks if it ever is released on itunes?

Personally, I don't quite understand why people think Disney (and Disney parks in particular) are geared towards them bratty children!!!

Re: Disney Songs get a little Babyish on itunes!

While Disney music is popular with kids, it is not specifically written for them. Like Disneyland itself, Disney music is intended for the young at heart. Those who market the songs of the "happiest musical soundtracks on Earth" have lost sight of the fact that they are intended for the young at heart...both families and individuals.

Perhps these boardroom stuffed shirts are so caught up in the officious, routine of their daily humdrum that they have become humbugs. they are inded delivering a false pretense against Disney's melodic and lyrical inspiration.
