Welcome to Duckburg (A Salute to animated Ducks)

I am a huge Uncle Scrooge fan right now and decided to opene up a thread for our favorite animated Ducks.

What cartoon duck(s) do you enjoy watching the most and why?

I enjoy Scrooge McDuck. I really enjoy him because I think everything about him is well developed such as his personality, background, visual details, etc. Don Rosa and Carl Barks really did an awsome job bringing this character to life. He is one of the most detailed characters Disney has and it's sad to see them not use him as much as they use to .

In ways, I also like Daffy Duck because of his sarcastic wit.

Whoops! I accidentally sent two copies of this out of the Cartoon Lovers Club. Can a Moderator please close this thread? Thanks .

I would appreciate it if the chatters would post their responses in this thread instead:

Re: Welcome to Duckburg (A Salute to animated Ducks)

I love the Disney Ducks and Uncle Scrooge is also my favorite Disney Duck. The whole concept of his wealth, stingy attitude, and the fact that he is Donalds Uncle an even with that stern facade loves his nephew and his grand nephews. They certainly have many exiting adventures together. Daffy is also a favorite. He is so funny. When he and Bugs start trying to outdo each other it's just classic stuff.

I think Carl Barks is the best of the Duck artists. Don is a close second, but Barks was the Duck King.

My two favorite ducks would have to be Scrooge McDuck & Ludwig Von Drake. They are the best ever. Ludwig with his crazy gadgets and Uncle Scrooge with his money. Best ducks ever!!! They rule

Here are two links about both ducks:

Ride lines, why did it have to be ride lines!!!

Re: Welcome to Duckburg (A Salute to animated Ducks)

I forgot all about Ludwig Von Drake. He is another great Duck. Actually the Ducks are some of Disney's best cartoon characters, outside Mickey Mouse of course. Donald is just irascible, his nephews are born trouble makers, his Uncle is the richest Duck in the world, and Ludwig is a crazy old inventor. What's not to love.

Oh, and Daisy is a very pretty lady. I saw her once in the Tokyo Disneyland Christmas Show and when she came on stage in her fancy Christmas outfit with a fur color and long coat and hat, she looked so cute that I really thought she was the prettiest costumed character on stage. That was the best character outfit I have ever seen.

Is Darkwing Duck included in this? I forgot what entity he's from
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

Professor Ludwig Von Drake as to be one of the greatest and yet under-utilized characters in Disney's stable.

    He counts!

Can I just say that I love ALL of the Disney ducks? Scrooge is my favorite while Donald is my favorite of the fab five.

I'm trying to think of all the major ducks in Disney lore. Can someone help?

    -Donald Duck
    -Daisy Duck
    -Hewey, Dewey, Louie
    -Scrooge McDuck
    -Gladstone Gander (luckiest duck)
    -Gyro Gearloose (inventor)
    -Ludwig Von Drage (crazy)
    -Magica de Spell (sorceress)
    -Flintheart Glomgold (2nd richest duck)
-Fenton Crackshell / Gizmoduck (scrooge's bodyguard)
    -Launchpad McQuack (scrooge's pilot / darkwing's sidekick)
    -Doophus (nephew's friend)
-Darkwing Duck / Drake Mallard (the darkness that flaps in the night)
    -Mrs. Beakley (scrooge's maid)
    -Webigail (girl duck)
    -Bubba (prehistoric duck)
    -Goslyn (Darkwing's adopted daughter)
    -Honker (goslyn's friend)
    -Genie of the lamp

I think that's all the major (and some minor) players right?

I loved Webby as a kid (I carried a stuffed version of her everywhere when I was a kid and even dressed as her for Halloween once)

I also love Darkwing and Goslyn

Totally not a Disney duck but I've always found the duckies from Suzie's Zoo to be very cute!
