Best of Both Worlds Training at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex has worked out well for the Bucs and their fans since 2002
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have the nicest new home in the National Football, but that doesn’t mean they’ve given up their summer vacation house.
The Buccaneers have announced plans to hold their 2007 training camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. They will make that 60-mile move up I-4 in late July for the sixth consecutive summer, having first trained at Disney to begin their 2002 Super Bowl-winning season.
The Buccaneers will also be housed at the Celebration Hotel in nearby Celebration, Florida, for the sixth year in a row. Quaint, reminiscent of a 1900s Florida seaside inn and located just minutes from the Disney training complex, the Celebration Hotel is occupied solely by the team during its three weeks of camp. Though opening and closing dates for the 2007 training camp have not yet been announced, it usually commences during the last week of July.
