uh oh... LOOK OUT!
ha, just kidding. There is a HUGE fan following of wicked on micechat. People are gah gah about it.
Welcome by the way.
I liked the book, but thought the author was a bit too academic at times. I loved the expanded mythology of Oz, especially the religious and political aspects of it, but felt the writing bogged the book down. Too many times I was pulled from the story with what felt like artificial author intrusion. Not actual intrusion, but parts that were suppose to be story that felt more like an author saying, "hey, look what I can do."
A picky complaint to say the least, but one that seemed to mire the whole book for me.
Loved watching the musical though.

I have the book, unfortunately have not had time to read it. Am hoping to get the time over Spring Break.
I personally hate this book but absolutely love the musical. The book was going along so well and then suddenly bam. I can't say anymore without giving it away but I was very upset with this book. I really really like Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister instead. I hope you enjoy it though.
I just started the book at Christmas, then my classes started up again and I didn't have any free reading time. Judging from the beginning of the book, it definitely isn't for kids. I'm suprised of the sex in the book. That's all I can say at this point.
^ I don't think it was ever meant for kids.
this aint a kids book, more of a teen / bored college kid book.
it was a great story, but slowed down at times...
i have yet to read the sequel, to much english work...
