Growing older is manditory
Growing up is however, optional
i don't know who drew this but she looks too cartoony and unreal. i hope it works after all the work they have put into it.
It's Glen Keane's work, hope he's on the phone with the District Attorney's office right now.

I think the character design is awesome. This movie looks like a little girl's dream. Does anyone know who is doing Rapunzel's voice in these videos?

(VERY OLD!) TRIP REPORTS
I remember seeing a ad for this movie back when I visited the Animation Studio in MGM Studios at WDW. At first sight of that ad; I kept thinking that one look like that will be interesting.
Happy to be seeing brand new images of Disney's Rapunzel now. Thank you for showing & sharing with us OogieBoogie.![]()

Two more years? How can I wait that long?
I saw the poster at MGM, too, and was thinking how great it was that Disney was going to have another girl movie. I always said they needed another fairy tale or a new princess. I think they should have an African princess next, or a story from India. Are you reading this Disney?
They've had a few years headstart:
'Toy Story' sequel set, Lasseter not at helm - Variety 2/9/07"We're really excited about that and have brought back some great directors to work on that," he said, presumably referring to "The Frog Princess," a 2-D pic being developed by "Aladdin" and "Treasure Planet" helmers Ron Clements and John Musker, whom Lasseter brought back to Disney last year. That pic is believed to be on the fast track and may be the division's next release after "American Dog."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Frog_Princess_(film)Sources have revealed that the film will be an American fairy tale musical set in New Orleans during the 1920's Jazz Age, and the leading character, Maddy, will be the first black Disney princess.
Although the film's entry in IMDB states its release year being 2008 it is highly unlikely as it hasn't been officially greenlt yet. Furthermore, Disney has been working on other animated films for some time, including Rapunzel Unbraided which is slated for release in 2009.

I have that fist video on one of my DVDs but I can't remember which one.... either Lady & the Tramp or Mary Poppins I think.
That second one I think is quite old. If I remember correctly they plaid it at last years shareholders meeting.
ORGOCH: Well, Good Lord, Cmash95, ducklin'! Whaddaya 'expect ol' Rappin' Rapunzel ta look like?! She IS a dang cartoon, fer Pete's Dragon's sake!! That's like tellin' yerself ya look too dang human--when ya IS human!
ORWEN: I have to agree with a certain nasty old biddy on this one. All the animated Disney characters are 'toons, after all. and we all come from Toon Town.
ORDDU: Maybe Cmash95 was expecting a live action version of Rapunzel. Could that be the case, dear?
ORWEN: If you think us Cauldron girls look 'cartoony', too, it's because we're exactly as Rapunzel--drawn to Disney BY Disney artists.
ORDDU: I have to say that Disney's Rapunzel looks a lot like a slightly older version of our very own Princess Eilonwy.
ORWEN: An' all them dang faires they got livin' in her hair looks a lot like the fair folk from BLACK CAULDRON, too!
ORWEN: Hmmmm....I wonder which of us will be the model for the evil witch in this film? I'm too nice and pretty for that part, myself. So, I guess it's more a competition between Orddu and Orgoch at this point.
ok ladies i get your point. To me belle and cinderella and arora look more human than rapunzel. and yes ordu you does look a bit like princess eilinwy. It's not that she isn't pretty, it's just that she doesn't look as "human" as other princesses.
OOPS! Looks like The Walt Disney Company had copyright issues with the movie!
