The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born - Marvel-ous!?

Has anyone picked up the first two Dark Tower comics? I picked them up yesterday. It was really weird seeing Roland's backstory come to life. I pictured the characters much differently. The Marvel vision of Gilead is not at all what I have in my mind's eye. There are maps in each of the comics - One of Gilead in #1 and one of Mejis in #2.

Marvel also released a Sketchbook, which I still need to track down. The local comic book store didn't have a copy in stock. Next month thery are releasing #3 as well as "The Gunslinger's Guidebook".

There are going ot be 7 stories in this series, but I read that there are supposed to be 30 comics total. Once all the comics are released, they will compile all seven into a graphic novel. They are releasing two alternate covers per book.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

Tell me how to even read the book series- honest to God I could not get any traction on those things.

Maybe I could read comic books

    Stephen King´s books.
I have read The Dark Tower 3 and 5.
And the tale from the book Todo es Eventual, about The Dark Tower too
    But comics, nop.

I guess, it´s obvious (To be in Pet Sematary XD) to say... I am a King´s fan XDDDDD

Oh crap I forgot those comics were coming out! I'll have to hunt them down this weekend. Do they sell them at like Borders/Barned & Noble?

I LOOOOOOOVE the Dark Tower series. Did you ever notice almost all of Stephen King's books are somehow related to the Dark Tower in one way or another?

I know who wrote them- I found them painful and unreadable.

I keep wanting to grab them,

    Rude much?

I asked a question at the beginning of the thread- feel free to disregard it as I suspect I will get no helpful answer.

    Oh well-

I don't know, I can read the Dark Tower series, Salem's lot and a few others, but I really can't read Pet Sematary, and Carrie.

I think it all depends on taste...

How much are the comics? I would like to pick them up, but if they're gonna be in ONE book in a year or two, and it's like $5 a comic, I don't think I want to spend quite that much dough.

I'd just wait for the hardcover edition they'll do after the single issues are out. Sometime this summer and should be around $20. Single issues are selling for $2.99 I believe.
