    Simon Cowell Quitting?

He just might. If you haven't checked out www.votefortheworst.com check it out. Every year so far millions of people are being told to vote for the worst! [look for more info on why]. When they did the boy-girl groups, they told people to vote for Antonella Barbra, and Sundance Head. When someone leaves, they start all over again, now they want people to vote for Sanjaya. Turns out the first night on Antonella, she got in 2nd place according to DialIdol [www.dialidol.com]

Simon Cowell told VoteForTheWorst "He's not going to win. If he does i'm not comming back"

AI should change the format a bit to give the panel some additional responsibilities.
I suggest that each panel member keeps a scorecard of each performance, the scores are added up, and the two (or three, or some other amount) highest scores are immune from getting kicked off. At some point, this immunity would have to be turned off, but it would provide some protection against this kind of subversive action.

What a whiner site. I wish I had that much time and anger to do something like that. Sadly, I only have time.

What is amazing about that site is how much it conveys the true power of the internet. It was born on a message board not unlike this one who said "we should vote for who we think is the worst" after a contestant they liked was voted off. It was amazing to watch the process and to see the idea gain speed and then the website came about. As the word got out, suddenly VFTW was getting national media exposure, which has only made it more fun!!

It's too bad we can't unite like that on something that is more important!

(sorry, I'm cranky today - my community just denied a school bond measure due to our state requiring a 60% Super majority to pass. My daughter's school would have been replaced among many other needed improvements...so yeah, cranky is a good word!)
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

Ryan should tell Simon the same thing. I always assumed that Simon was too.

BTW, we've talked about WTV and its impact over in the Americal Idool 6 thread

I guess I now know who doesn't go home

It is amazing the impact something like that can have.

And they wouldn't let Simon leave.

    And Sanjaya will NEVER win.

But maybe I should start voting again just in case
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Re: Simon Cowell Quitting?

Does the name "Kevin Coavias" ring a bell? Vote for the Worst threw their support solidly behind him last year (poor kid with all of those comaparisons to Chicken Little...he WAS eerily similar) and how far did he go?

As the pool of contestants gets smaller, their influence dries up as there are only so many losers with nothing to do but try and spoil this competition for everyone. Every year, they either get bored or give up as their chosen one eventually gets toasted. They claimed "Victory" last year for Taylor Hicks last year, completely ignoring the fact that the final four were all amazing. At that point, VFTW becomes an obsolete pile of frustrated nothingness.

Oh, and about the "Simon told VFTW" comment...yeah. Like that really happened. All of those people are frustrated losers who probably spend their weekends looking for something to vandalize.

I LOVE it when their chosen one loses. Last week was a GREAT week!

    In your face, VFTW!
