Re: What Are Your Favorite Old Classic Movies?

My favorite is Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson, but anything with those two in it is REALLY good.

    I like the following actors:

    Katharine Hepburn
    Cary Grant
    Audrey Hepburn
    Rock Hudson
    Doris Day

"Almost" anything by them and you can't go wrong.

Remember Fishy, it was because of you I even watched this film! When we met for the first time at the Gay Day Meet almost a year ago? You suggested this film.

That woman was so deliciously twisted, gotta love it!

Re: What Are Your Favorite Old Classic Movies?

Wow - great thread. Here's some of mine:

    The Parent Trap! (1961 version)

Singin In The Rain (Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O'Connor -1952)

What's Up Doc? (Barbra Streisand, Ryan O'Neal, Madeline Kahn-1972)

So Proudly We Hail (Claudette Colbert, Veronica Lake & Paulette Goddard-1944)

Come Back, Little Sheba (Burt Lancaster, Shirley Booth-1952 - Booth got Academy Award)

    Marty (Ernest Borgnine - 1955)

Mrs. Miniver (Greer Garson, Teresa Wright, Walter Pidgeon -1942)

Stage Door (Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rodger, Lucille Ball -1937)

The Secret Fury (Claudette Colbert, Vivian Vance-1950)

Stage Door Canteen (several movie stars as themselves -194?)

Random Harvest (Greer Garson, Ronald Coleman -1942)

It Happened One Night (Claudette Colbert, Clark Gable -1934)

Without Reservations (Claudette Colbert, John Wayne, Don DeFore -1946)

Meet Me In St. Louis (Judy Garland -1944)

The Reluctant Debutante (Rex Harrison, Kay Kendall, Sandra Dee, Angela Lansbury -1958)

My Favorite Wife (Cary Grant, Irene Dunne - 1940)

Bringing Up Baby (Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn - 1938)

These are just some of my favorites - probably others I'm not mentioning. I've listed actors/actresses in them in case you want to look them up online to see check them out and view them yourself!

Did you know that "Move Over Darling" was the 'reshot and finishe product' of what was going to be a movie with Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe- but she died before shooting ended. Doris Day and James Garner were recast in this movie with the same names that Martin and Moore had.

I'm adding "Move Over Darling" to my list too - I've seen it twice and it's a good remake.
