All right I was fealing a little retro tonight, yearning for the days of my youth I ask the boards general conscensus on which of these fine cartoons once apart of one of history's greatest cartoon blocks was their favorite?

Gargoyles for me, with a very close second place for DuckTales.

Oh man, too many of these top my list! I would have to say my favorites were...
    -Tale Spin
    -Rescue Rangers
    -Gummi bears
    -Duck Tales
    -Goof Troop.
I really can't say which one is my super-duper #1 pick. Now I have the Duck Tales theme song stuck in my head.

You beat me there. I don't have the Fraggle Rock song .

I have the Disney Afternoon soundtrack CD and that's what I was listening to . I love the Boogie Beagle Blues (DuckTales), Gummiberry Juice (Gummi Bears), and Rough, Tough, Burly Sailors (Gummi Bears) songs on that CD !

I have that on cassette tape! I also love the cheezy intro song they have on it that used to begin the broadcast (Step Right Up and Come on In Here's Where the Fun begins!) And this poll was created because my Disney Playlist on my I-Pod started playing that song.

    Oh my favorites were:
    -Ducktales
    -Rescue Rangers
    -Darkwing Duck
    -Goof Troop
    -Gargoyles

The others were fun too, but those were ones that I would/have netflixed again.

I totally can't choose either! I didn't watch Bonkers or Gargoyles, but I loved everything else!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Goof Troop
    Gargoyles
    Tale Spin
    Duck Tales
    Bonkers

The other ones I did not pay all that much attention too. My favorite theme though was "Duck Tales". That one was just so bouncy and catchy. Gargoyles was the best for story and animation.

    None of the above.

It was a huge mistake for Disney to get into the low-end animation business. In the final tally, it cost them far more than they could ever have raked in. Walt Disney Television Animation was, from its inception, ultimately the end for Walt Disney Feature Animation. Especially once they crossed the line into sequels, spin-offs and franchise extensions.

Re: What Was Your Favorite Disney Afternoon Cartoon (Poll)

Ducktales hands down is the best because they stayed true to the characters.

As enjoyable as rescue rangers, tail spin, goof troop, or even quack pack was, they took characters we know and love and turned them into something completely different. Entertainment, yes. But just... bizarre.

So my vote goes to DUCK TALES and the other original creations that followed.

    1) DUCK TALES
    2) GARGOYLES (this needs to be a feature length animated film with GOOD animation)
    3) DARKWING DUCK
    4) GUMMY BEARS

Seriously? Because for me the combination of these and the "silver age" movies that came out during my childhood made me the Disney fan I am today, in my opinion the ones I listed before were the best short cartoons put out by the studio (I know, shame on me but as a kid the golden age cartoons never kept me captivated.) We can all agree on how stupid the direct to video sequels are but dont blame something that the studio started as the DA was winding down (I believe that Return of Jafar was actually supposed to be orginally concieved as 5 part mini series intro to the Aladdin cartoon) with what it was orginally ment to do. I really wish that Disney would actually return to non toddler TV shows because, seriously that is the way to snag modern age kids and make them life long fans. Dont believe me? Look at some of the response to TMNT by people in my age bracket and that wont even compare to the huge response Transformers is going to have this summer. While people equally adore movies, they are usaully one and done, except in the rare instance that a sequel is as good as the orginal, which if you only talk about orginal material that has come out in the last ten years not derived from a series of books or TV shows includes Shrek (one book,) Pirates, and Star Wars.

Then look at the response to people about TV on DVD and all of the crappy movies based on TV shows that even with bad reviews has been gold in the box office. If/when hollywood is able to make a decent TV remake look for Pirates 2 type numbers on it, people are just more attached to TV then movies.
