    Planet Earth on Discovery Chanel.

Is anybody watching this?? It's the most mind-blowing thing I've ever seen in my life. It's been funded by international tv stations as well and I just can't believe what I'm seeing. Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone else thought or if anyone here has seen any of it.

That's what I've been doing. Today I saw the first ever live footage of a wild newborn panda. Unbelievable! The camera must've been inches away from the mother.

I didn't know it started already. I've been waiting for this. I'm sure they are repeating episodes, have to go and set them to record.

We TiVo'd it, and I casually watched some on Sunday night. Great new camera technology.
    Sure wish I had HD.

Re: Planet Earth on Discovery Chanel.

I watched the first one and decided right then and there to wait for the complete DVD boxed set that has all 11 episodes, extra footage not shown on the TV, extra's expaining how the amazing photography is done plus lots more. It's expensive listing at $79.99 but I see Amazon has it for $55.00. No commercials and that is what bothered me about the Discovery Channel. All those annoying commercials for upcoming shows running across the bottom of the screen and the Discovery Channel logo showing like a sore thumb in the bottom corner. I hate this new way of intruding on the good shows. So I won't watch it anymore on TV but will get the DVD boxed set instead when it comes out on April 24th. Then I can watch it on my schedule.

I saw it and I'm understating myself by saying it was jaw dropping! Fantastic program, and can't wait for more.

Seeing that today (April 22) is Earth Day, I made sure to catch the latest installments of Planet Earth. Forests and Caves were featured today and just like the other episodes, they were both great! I'm continually learning so many new things about our planet in these specials. And so much of the cinematography is just breathtaking. Big kudos to the producers, staff and crews of these shows for their hard work.

This show is amazing. I've been DVRing it. I also heard rumors that a DVD set of it will be coming out soon.
