Picture hundreds of thousands of brightly colored Easter Eggs dotting the landscape of Cypress Gardens. Now, imagine the giggles of delight and shrieks of joy as multitudes of children scramble to gather their Easter treasures. “Eggstravaganza at the Gardens” brings this enchanting scenario to life as we host the world's largest Easter egg hunt on April 1st. Plus, there's a chance to win a scholarship to Polk County Community College!
Come join us as we set the new world record by hiding more than 500,000 easter eggs! An adjudicator from Guinness World Records will fly in from London to authenticate and award the new record to the park.
Gather up the kids and all their friends and enjoy an afternoon of fun and Easter “egg-citement.” Don’t forget their baskets because with this many eggs, everyone will go home with some goodies. Although most of the eggs contain toys and candy, some eggs will contain prizes donated by local businesses. Plus, one lucky prize egg will be the key to winning a two-year scholarship to Polk County Community College. The scholarship will cover books and tuition. We’re sure you’ve never been to an egg hunt this big before!
The hunt will be broken up into three age groups--0-4 years, 5-9 years and 10-14 years. There is no limit to the number of eggs gathered, but all children must be accompanied by an adult and all prizes must be claimed prior to leaving the park.
“Eggstravaganza at the Gardens” starts at 3 pm and is free with park admission.
