Walden Media, Henson bring Gorey's 'Guest' to big screen

    Finally!
'The Doubtful Guest' by the late, great Edward Gorey will be brought to life on the big screen. The film is a co-production of Walden Media, the Jim Henson Co. and Fox 2000. It will be released by the newly-formed Fox Walden and 20th Century Fox.

It will be interesting to see them bring this to life. Gorey's illustrations are great for animation...

This is VERY exciting. I'm a huge Gorey fan. I'm wondering what the Hensen involvement is all about. Is this an animated or puppet film? Very curious indeed.

The "guest" will be a combination of Henson puppetry and CG.

This is great news. I discovered a collection of Gorey's stories, Amphigorey, when I was in junior high. I've been a fan ever since.

If you like that, you might enjoy Creature Feature's song, A Gorey Demise.
