Has "Boutique" become a bad word in the resort industry?
Hotel chains are beginning to wear the image of Boutique Hotels down. The word "Boutique" is beginning to be associated with "expending effort on style but slacking in service." According to Brad Wilson, CEO of the James Hotel Group. "It makes for great photos and talking points, but for guests the reality is often chaotic and crazy."
Disney is said to be investing more in Boutique Hotel experiances on its properties. The question remains, will the higher price tag reveal better service than the existing hotels? Or will "Boutiquing" the resorts undercut the "Disney Diferance?"
