    Re: Hockey!!!!

Are you actually in Lloydminster?? I met someone from there, but I can't remember his name. I think it was Glenn. 50-something.

I'll watch the Ducks, since they're on the local Fox Sports Net channel.

The cup is firmly in Barbossa's grasp:

Even though I'm from BC and should be following the 'nucks, I'll be following the Ducks. I wanna see Rob's name engraved on that cup.

If I watch any hockey it'll likely be the Ducks...rooting for them too. I must say that my excitement level for hockey still hasn't recovered from the entire season they lost.

    Re: Hockey!!!!

    So....

Here we go. Hockey is a game of streaks. it is only very rarley a in this day and age a team that has dominated the season Wins the Cup. The presidents trophy "Curse" so to speak. This year Buffalo carries that mark.

2 of the hottest teams coming into the playoffs Sharks and Islanders. Sharks look good. Isles- eh...not so good. The west will go to one of 7 teams. All But Calgary IMO can make it to the finals. (Calgary a mediocre team that barely held on to the #8 spot) and Minn. being a dark horse. VERY dark Horse

Sharks- No Defense. and they aren't saying but Marleau is definatley playing hurt. Guerin though is an awesome addition. But No Defense. I say that twice because that is what is going to kill the Sharks.

Ducks- Selanne will have to score with a legal stick from here on out, but healthy, this is a VERY good team. Age crept up though late in the season, and may bite them again in the playoffs.

Wings- No One is talking about the Wings! (I Hate the Wings) Hasek plays big in the Playoffs?- LOOK OUT for Detroit.

In the East. It's Buffalo's conference to loose. They are just SO fast, and dominant. If the Goaltending holds up, there will be no Presidents trophy curse this year.

SPEED is the word this year for me- Buffalo wins the cup over S.J., Detroit, or Anaheim. (Just imagine if Buffalo still had Hasek....wow)

Staying true to Canada... I'm definitely watching the Canucks vs. Stars series & the Flames vs. Red Wings.
Might catch a bit of the Rangers' or Ducks' series too if I get the chance

Cheechoo's status unclear for Game 2
    April 13, 2007
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- San Jose forward Jonathan Cheechoo tested his sprained right knee at Friday's morning skate, and it's unclear if the Sharks' top goal scorer plays in Game 2 against Nashville. Cheechoo said the decision to play was up to him. If his knee swells or the pain worsened, then he said he would not be able to play.
Right Knee? Right Handed Shot? He may skate but he won't have any heat on his shot. Depending on the severity, consider him ineffective except on chip ins, and light wristers.

How odd a team a team releases injury info during the playoffs. Nashville will now just try to keep him out away from the net where it hurts him to take a shot. Thornton and Guerin are the center of the show now.
