    Creature Comforts coming to Amercia

I love this show and am looking forward to this.

    'Creature Comforts'

The American version of the Aardman Animation smash "Creature Comforts" will finally have its premiere this summer on CBS.

The network announced on Wednesday (April 18) that "Creature Comforts" will premiere on Monday, June 4.

As was the case with the original British commercials, short film and ITV1 series, the American "Creature Comforts" will combine audio interviews with ordinary citizens with stop-motion animation of anthropomorphic animals.

Nick Park won an Oscar for the short film, long before the unique Aardman style became familiar to American audiences on films like "Chicken Run" and "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit."

CBS has had "Creature Comforts" in development for some time. The network announced last February that the show was going into production on seven episodes, but due to the labor-intensive process, it was always intended for a midseason 2006-07 slot.

I agree. Most people here in the states do not "get" British humor hence the low ratings for the Wallace and Grommet movie and Flushed away. Also the Mr. Bean movie did not do well here and yet the British TV series is great. It's a shame really. I am hoping for the best but will not be surprised if it doesn't go over and is canceled quickly.

I love the dry sense of humour the British have. People who don't get it are just stupid.
