Great job, David. And the kids. Could they be any cuter? Looks like it was a beautiful day out, too.

    AWWW....
How adorable are those babies! I love the pic that your son is eating the dress. The look on Katie's face was classic!

You should do more trip reports! Those are some purdy pics!

    Thanks for sharing

What a gorgeous day, beautiful babies, lovely pictures! The weather looked perfect.

The Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is one of my very favorite places, and this looks even more beautiful.

Thanks for the awesome Trip Report!

In its normal home in Huntington House (being refurb'd right now so the painting has been relocated to its current location)...they actually have the x-ray/infrared photos where you can see the pooch very clearly. Don't know if those same photos accompanied it to its current temporary location.

We've been members of the Huntington for about 25 years now. Used to visit and have lunch there almost every week back when we lived in the area. Now we only get there about once a month...usually for special events and seminars. Beautiful place. It's really the "Central Park" of Los Angeles, IMHO.

A few of the restaurant managers at the Huntington came from the Disney Studios when Marriott Host took over Disney's food operations. So it's kinda fun to know them from back then.

I've seen hundreds of scenes from TV shows and movies that have used the Huntington as their "set." From European palaces to Japanese homes and many others...I see the Huntington all the time in these (even a recent car commercial was filmed there).

Disneyland Daddy...your children are so cute they look like some of the cherubs you can find in much of the art at the Huntington!

Thank you! Only the little boy in the blue plaid is mine - the other little girl belongs to our friends - they are 3 weeks apart in age! We already have a planned marriage all written out - HA HA Kidding.

The kids are super cute! The pics of them and of the garden are gorgeous! For some reason I was under the impression that the japanese garden was closed for a refurb -- but you have dispelled this rumor! I think I might have to take a trip down there myself...

Great photos and adorable children. I think your sons outfit is cute the way it goes with the surrounding gardens.

Those are the cutest babies!!! It was nice to see a bigger pic of your son, than the ones in your avatar. He is tooooo cute. Thanks for reporting on such a beautiful place, never heard of it before but sounds like a nice place to explore for the day.

Such adorable children! Great thread, too. I grew up around there, and my dad used to take my brother and me to the Huntington or the Arboretum just a stone's throw away all the time. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from exploring the Huntington. There is so much to do there and so much to learn about. I always loved going in the house and learning about the furnishings and books, etc.

    Thanks for the post!

Disneyland Daddy, thanks for a WONDERFUL trip report! Sorry I didn't comment sooner...I rarely wander into this forum. LOL! But I love the Huntington. I'm amazed you got a picture of the Japanese gardens without any people in it. Great timing or did you have to wait a while to get that shot? Anyways, all your pictures are great! Nice work and thanks for sharing with us!
