Hot Fuzz! British Comedy Delivers the Laughs

From the makers of 'Shaun of the Dead' I just saw Hot Fuzz last night.

It was pretty funny, with the dry UK humor, it was very fun. They had some great homages to American flicks like Pointe Break, Bad Boys 2, etc.

I recommend it, but to be fair I am a BBC/UK junkie.

    Cheers!

Re: Hot Fuzz! British Comedy Delivers the Laughs

I was invited by Rick_A_Mortis to join he and CrazyLegs at a preview of this film about 2 weeks before it opened nationwide. I LOVED Shaun of the Dead and hoped that HF would be at least a fraction as good. I laughed so hard at the screening I think I had a stroke. I was not dissapointed in the very least. I was watching Brittish comic genius at work and loving every F-ing minute of it. I personally liked it better than SOTD, but that's just me. Both films are the work of comic masters giving homage to genres that are very close to their hearts.

I saw this on Saturday and really enjoyed it. The writing is excellent, and there was certainly never a dull moment. Although now I want to see Point Break and Bad Boys 2!

Hope you guys don't mind. I like to add polls to the movie threads. It is just a strange quirk of mine.

Fishy saw this one and LOVED it, but I haven't been able to see it yet. I'm really looking forward to it though.

Thanks very much, we can make it scientific now.

Maybe we should write a grant with the results of the research.

You and who? And who? And who else? Ahem!

We laughed so. freaking. hard. I'm not sure which movie I liked better, so I'll have to see Hot Fuzz again, just to make sure.
