If you are a Calgary, Canada area "Imagineer" or are planning a visit, check this website out.

Iron Horse Park is a re-creation in miniature of the railway pioneer days in the Canadian West. When complete there will be a 1 1/2 mile miniature train ride for kids of all ages. The journey will represent the Canadian Pacific Railway from the prairies to the coast. The trip will climb mountains, cross trestles, through tunnels on both steam and diesel locomotives. Along the route you will travel past small scale farmsteads, towns and industries typical of the area.

This is a hobby-based, non-profit club. They rely on volunteers to help build this amazing 12-acre park. The trains are 1/8 scale - the same size that Walt had in his own backyard. I've always wanted a train of my own, and joining this organization is allowing me to learn how it's done. It's also my opportunity to "imagineer" my very own "park".... eventually landscapes, structures, mountains, oceans and more will be built.
