    Rank the 3 Spider-man films

I went and saw Spiderman 3 this weekend and I thought it was great.

However, I almost didn't see this in the theater because I was so disapointed with Spiderman 2 (I thought nothing really happened for most of the movie and the MJ/Peter relationship was frustrating and annoying.)

So personally I would rank the three films 1-3-2. I was curious how other MCs thought about the Spider-man trilogy...

I was torn between 2-3-1 and 3-2-1. The second and third ones are about equal to me. I decided to go with 3-2-1 since I think it has the best storyline (I like multiple plot threads in films), though the second had the best villain and action sequence of the trilogy (Doc Ock and the runaway train, respectively).

312, 2 didn't really do it for me, and I really liked number 3.

Re: Rank the 3 Spider-man films

I voted for 1-2-3. 1 being the original was a great, tight, set up to everything and I really enjoyed that.

Spidey 2 was solid but there were some minor issues in it that bugged me... like how Doc Ock could remain incognito for so long, how he got all that equipment sent to his docks (ebay?), how cops could never spot a man climbing around with all those mechanical arms.... etc etc. But it was a very strong film.

Spidey 3 was a mess. Has sprinkles of greatness, but feels like a movie that was tampered with heavily. There's a good movie buried in there, but there's too much cheese and corn and unnecessary villains weighing it all down.

    2-3-1.

Doc Ock was handled perfectly, and it was fun to watch the world beat up on Peter. The action sequences were cool, and not so frenetic that you couldn't tell what was going on.

The 3rd one was okay but of the villains the only one whom I think was handled effectively was Harry. He really stole the show this time. It was great having the role reversal with Pete and Mary Jane- to watch his horror at the unfolding 'train wreck' at the restraunt, and his hysterical 'agressive' demeanor. Other oddness was the strange jazzy beat during the dark struggle in Harry's house between the two- and how suddenly Eddie went from a jealous colleague to murderous intent, and how quickly he not only tracked down Sandman, but understood Marko's motivation and that Peter Parker was Spiderman and how to turn Sandman to his side. Sandman was not effective, and how he decided to stop pummeling at the end and he was left to drift away smacks in the face of common sense.

The 1st one. It was stuck with alot of exposition that is unnavoidable. Norman Osborn was cool, but 'crazy Norman' while entertaining, was ridiculous. The Green Goblin looked like he escaped from a taping of "Power Rangers". Everything about the Green Goblin was an embarassment, the villain was the weakest part of the movie by far.
