Ty Pennington"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" star Ty Pennington was arrested early Saturday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol while driving.

The hottie carpenter, who got his start on the TLC hit "Trading Spaces," was arrested at 12:35 AM. He was released two hours later after posting $5000 bail

As rich as these people are.. why don't they just hire drivers! You would think after seeing case after case after case.. they'd write it off as a business expense

They filmed an episode up in South Dakota a few months back and I heard all kinds of crazy stories about him from the small bars they spent their evenings in.

Apparantly he is much shorter in person and can't hold his likker

I liked him when he was on TLC, but I hate the extreme home make over show and I don't really care for him anymore...so it's all good. I'm glad he didn't hurt anyone though.

I don't watch that show or any commerical he's on. He bugs the heck out of me in a really bland way. But seriously, I'm guessing he's got money, I'm guessing he can afford a cab. Tool.

There will be always be STUPID people everywhere... thankfully his stupidness was exposed before anyone was physically hurt. And hopefully he was sincere when he said it was his wake up call. He's lucky, some are not so fortunate. He should embrace the grace he's been given. It would be nice if STUPID people didn't exist, meantime, we carry on.
(and before anyone goes on a flame about stupid people not existing, it's not the people I'm wishing didn't exist, it's their STUPIDITY I wish didn't exist).

I'm always surprised and saddened by the number of people that seem genuinely happy when someone stumbles or screws up. I'm not just talking about here on MC, but in the workplace, where ever. It just seems like any time a celebrity or some other famous person blows it, there are always people willing to chime in with how glad they are that it happened... What is that about? Anyway, I think it is very fortunate that nobody was hurt and that maybe he will wake up a bit to this problem.

Before I get responses on this, I do understand there are times when someone who preaches a certain type of morality, then screws up and we comment on their hypocrisy, but I don't think that's the case here, it's not like Ty is a posterchild for MADD or is on the air preaching about a healthy lifestyle...

I think Ty is a total tool, who is seriously in love with himself. This guy has spun his model career, into a pretend carpenter, then into some Ghandi-like guy. Hopefully this will knock him down a peg or two.

Just because someone is a celebrity doesn't mean I should judge them anymore than I would judge anyone else.
