    Jurassic Park 4

So as many of you know the coveted four installment to the Jurassic Park series will be surfacing either late 2008 or 2009, so i wanted to know how many of you are excited about it. Too me it doesn't sound so great but with 1000's of others i will most likely see it in the theaters. The plot doesn't really excite me, and that poor display for the third one they put out has left me a bit spectacle. The only thing that so far has begun to reel me in is that a lot of the original characters are coming back with some hopefuls added. We'll see when the dinos come back.

I like that Spielberg is involved again and he said he thought the story was good enough to have actually been the 2nd movie so we'll see!

I may, but when it goes on to DVD I love that move, but after 3 of them, the fourth can wait in my book.

    Re: Jurassic Park 4

Um, how do you know a lot of the original cast is returning?

imdb lists nothing about actors in the movie let alone a plot and wikipedia has basically nothing as well.

Neill Not Involved with Jurassic Park 4
    Source: LA Daily News
    March 8, 2007

Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III star Sam Neill tells the LA Daily News that he's not involved with Jurassic Park 4.

"I know nothing about it. I haven't heard from anyone," says the actor, who played Dr. Alan Grant in the films. He adds that any reports that say he is attached to star are false.

The last news about the Universal sequel was that Joe Johnston would return to direct the film, written by The Departed screenwriter William Monahan. Johnston helmed the third installment of the franchise.

    Re: Jurassic Park 4

Sam Neill is definitely returning for Jurassic Park IV, the actor told Australia's The Sunday Mail over the weekend. Neill's character, Alan Grant, survived encounters with dinosaurs in both the original Jurassic Park and in Jurassic Park III.

Neill has been hinting that he might play the paleontologist's role one more time, since the script Spielberg had developed was so interesting. Apparently, Spielberg went back to Michael Crichton's source material, using unfilmed scenes from the novel and continuing with the idea that dinosaurs had escaped to mainland Costa Rica. According to Neill, Spielberg had a "clever idea" that would allow both Grant and Jeff Goldblum's character, Ian Malcolm, to return.

And with filming a year or so away, Neill says he's getting excited about the prospect. "I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch, but I think this will exceed expectations. I'm looking forward to it, actually."
