Something Wicked This Way Comes. I love the movie but it just doesn't stand up to the book.

Re: Would You Like To See Some Disney Movies Redone?

I would want to say, Mr.Toad/Wind in Willows. Tell it more like the real story. I can like both versions. But I like the real version much better and plus, I get mixed up when people ask me a question about the Disney version of this story.

    Spoiler
Because in the Disney version Mr.Toad is framed. But in the real version, Mr.Toad does steal the motor car. Plus, there are totally different and change of characters in the versions.

That's the one I was going to choose. I bet this would look really cool if they did it as a real movie instead of animation. Especially with the way Disney made the PotC films with all the CGI.

I can only see that one being redone as an animated film or with real bears.

God yes, linklewtt. I think I'd die of shock and anger if Disney ever came up with the idea to redo or god forbid, make a sequel to Sleeping Beauty. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it.

Like someone else said in this thread, they should redo this film from a completely different angle. Forget about Eddie Murphy and everything else that made that movie so god awful. It truly did suck.

How about a remake of the B.R.A.T Patrol?

concerning The Haunted Mansion, I'd like to see either a remake focusing on the story behind the mansion (Master Gracey's story) or one focusing on Constance and her story.

A movie focusing on the story of Phantom Manor would be fantastic too. Disney should enter the realm of the Wild West soon and jumpstart that whole genre like they did with Pirates.

That's the big problem. Disney movies being redone. They were PERFECT to begin with - I say Re-Release them in theatres for a certain time - don't remake them. Bad idea, I think.

Re: Would You Like To See Some Disney Movies Redone?

I know that I'm going to be drawn and quartered for saying this, but if there were to be remakes, the only thing I would consider wanting them to do is either adapting older cartoons to be used with the new 3D technology that Disney developed, or, and this is where I think I will get shot, based off of Philharmagic and the combined animation capacities of Pixar and Disney, possibly remake a couple of movies in CGI....*dodges flames*

I vote no remake on Pete's Dragon. I could see remakes of the others though. but I do think that Disney should come up with some more original ideas as well.

After today I'd have to cast a vote for Pirates Of the Caribbean III.

    Disneyland Daddy is my hero!

You know, out of all the following Disney remakes

The Love Bug ("Herbie Fully Loaded")
    The Parent Trap (")
    Freaky Friday (")
    Pollyanna ("Polly")
    The Shaggy Dog (")
    The Absent-Minded Professor ("Flubber")
    That Darn Cat! (")
    101 Dalmatians (")
    The Jungle Book (")
    The Incredible Journey ("Homeward Bound")
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (")
Swiss Family Robinson ("Beverly Hills Family Robinson")

...Not one of them is better than the original. And the vast majority are highly inferior.

I'd like to see a film version of The Haunted Mansion that is actually set in the antebellum period. Hopefully, people will eventually forget the Eddie Murphy embarrassment.

Also, "Newsies" could be re-edited into something that is actually watchable.

Before "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Newsies" was the biggest-selling and most-rented live-action video in Disney history, so there clearly is something that someone somewhere finds interesting about it. However, the film has so many glaring flaws that it's difficult to appreciate, or even tolerate.

A new edit and a new sound mix would go a long way towards redeeming the production.

I wouldn't want to see Tron redone but would love to see a sequel. Tron 2.o (Like the video game that came out) but with more up to date CGI and real actors (Not like the entire CGI version f TMNT)

As much as I love the original, I would like to see 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea redone. With new technology that we have tody, Leagues can be an amazing piece. Imageine the Giant Squid attack CGI.
