It would have been nice if a spoiler warning had been included on the review. I mean, nothing was blatantly given away, but your implications give away enough.

    Nicely written, but poorly labeled.

PLEASE DON'T READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!....

What do you mean a child gets hanged? That's Jack Sparrow in child form! Or at least, that's how I understood it. I remember reading a long time ago online that they cast someone to play little Jack.

7? Pfft. I didn't find the characters to be rambling on, as you say. And I was by no means fed up seeing Jack...like my boyfriend commented in his first delusional sequence on the Black Pearl, "Oh, look! It's ever woman's dream come true!"

    This movie is absolutely amazing.

    Spoiler
A child does in fact get hanged at the beginning of the movie, along with roughly 20 or so other people. No, it is not young Jack as the beginning of the movie takes place in the present of the trilogy. As for why the hangings occur, that's up for you to see the movie to find out.

Good review, altho' reviewers on this one and me don't seem to click on this flick. I loved this one. I went spur-of-the-moment Thursday night (even tho' I have tickets to join friends at the El Cap for next week). By the time I finally decided to go, I could only get into an 11:45p screening (The Bridge/Director's Hall).

Better than DMC, which I liked. This one opened very "Empire Strikes Back" for me, dark and serious. I liked the scenes introducing Captain Jack, if only because they were very different from the road already taken. I had less of a problem following this storyline than DMC. But frankly, story or not, I had a good time seeing these characters again. And I thought every thing wrapped up very well. They could easily end the series here, which might be preferred. But I'll take the trip again if they should sail once more. (But I'm not sure I can handle these midnight screenings much longer on a school night. )

A little softer then the review at MousePlanet really ripped it a new one over many of the same points. A flick trying to do too much.

Everything that you said about this movie, I couldn't agree more. Great job!

Re: 05-24-07 UnReview: POTC: At World's End, Pack a Lunch!

I think that was a pretty fair analysis...
I'm glad you didn't tear it to shreds like a lot of people...you gave it a chance.

I actually really enjoyed it. Thinking back, some parts are actually kind of confusing, but I still was able to accept most of the movie.

I think the reason I liked it so much was because I was so disatisfied with DMC and this one went so much farther and exciting.

Does anyone know why Cutler Beckett didn't fire on the Dutchman and the Black Pearl when they flanked the Endeavour?
Did I miss something? Why did he just stand there?

Because he knew that without the Dutchman backing him, he was finished. And suddenly he realized just how much of a big mess he had made with his and others' lives.

Hmmm, I just thought that with all those ships he brought and all,
    surely there was some hope.
