Upper Deck outbids Eisner for Topps

Upper Deck has made an offer of $10.75 per share, outbidding Micheal Eisner's Crescendo Partners II investment firm's $9.75 takeover bid of the Baseball Card maker Topps. Crescendo's bid was viewed by Topp's board of directors as being deeply "flawed" as it was seen to undervalue the stock price. Topps shares rose 45 cents on the news.
