Very cool! Are there more? Maybe from full length features? Like Little John's last name?

There are quite a few more. The list currently is only until 1949. I just got tired of all that typing.

"Captain Hook" -- isn't it James Hook? Or was that something added in one of the many other versions of PP that I have?

And isn't "Pan" a last name? "Peter Pan"? It took me a minute to realize your list is alphabetical -- wow! I probably would have just listed them by movie name and still managed to leave some out!

    Re: Disney Animated Character Surnames

I mentioned it in another thread, but pretty much everyone in Chicken Little had a last name. Same for the 1943 version. (Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Foxy Loxy etc.)

It is James Hook. I just didn't include the James because Disney never uses the name. I wasn't sure about Peter Pan, but I went ahead and added him. Part of the problem is context. I've seen the vast majority of these films, but I can't tell with all. Then there is Snow White, with the name in Grimm stories being a reflection of her complexion, but how do we interpret that in the Disney film today?

I've added the short characters and will get to the feature film ones when I get to the film, as I am trying to go chronologically at first. The question would be whether or not to count Chicken Little as two entirely seperate characters or as the same? I have not seen the feature.

    Re: Disney Animated Character Surnames

I'd say that since the discussion started with "Disney Characters" with last names, I would stick with how they were represented in Disney films (in terms of Snow White for example).

    Keep up the GREAT work!

The characters in the feature are different to the characters in the short, so it might be a good idea to count them as separate characters. One thing to point out is that the feature doesn't have a Henny Penny or a Cocky Locky, but it does have Abby Mallard, Runt of the Litter, Fish out of Water (I have no idea how those two stand as last names), Mr Woolensworth, Buck Cluck, and the aliens, who apparently have a surname (Morkenburg - so they'd be Melvin, Tina and Kirby Morkenburg).

Yeah, I know, it's quite scary. But I have seen both versions of Chicken Little and love them both (especially the turkeys - both sets of turkeys are cool)

Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit. And are most without surnames? I've never given it much thought.

Geef and Goof depending on the subject.

The Rabbit wills be coming soon. It seemed more that people didn't realize that so many had more than a first name.

    Re: Disney Animated Character Surnames

Since you have Lady Tremaine on there, it's easy to assume Tremaine is also the last name of Anastasia and Drizella. Whether or not that's Cinderella's last name is debatable (I don't think so, but some people think it is).

As for Snow White, I consider that to be a double first name like Rosemary or John-Peter. Otherwise, everyone would be calling her Snow.

Here are some other last names post-Great Mouse Detective. A lot of these are debatable, but I figure I'd throw them out there, anyway. Because I'm lazy, these aren't alphabetized; they're sorted by film.

    Pocahontas
    John Smith
    John Ratcliffe
Wiggins (this is debatable; we never hear a first name)

    The Hunchback of Notre Dame
    Judge Claude Frollo

    Mulan
    Fa Mulan
    Fa Zhou
    Fa Li
    Li Shang
    Shan Yu

    Tarzan
    Jane Porter
    Archimedes Q. Porter
Clayton? (not sure on him, but Jane calls him "Mr. Clayton" several times)

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (the record for the most full names)
    Milo James Thatch
    Kidagakash Nedakh
    Kashakim Medakh
    Commander Lyle Tiberius Rourke
    Gaeton Moliere

    Wilhelmina Bertha Packard
    Fenton Q. Harcourt
    Jebidiah Allardyce Farnsworth

    Lilo & Stitch
    Dr. Jumba Jookiba
    David Kawena
Captain Gantu (unclear if this is a surname; I assume it is)
    Cobra Bubbles

    Treasure Planet
