    star wars the legacy revealed

    did anyone else watch?

it was somewhat interesting, what I did like was the explanation of why the hero's mentor had to die. it made a lot of sense

I have it recorded on the DVR, it will probably be at least a week or so before I can watch it. Looking forward to it though.

I also have the Star Wars Tech recorded.

Re: star wars the legacy revealed

both were pretty big bores to me.

'science of star wars' was 3 1hr episodes that at first I was skipping through and eventually just turned off.

the legacy revealed was a bit interesting in the background, but it never grabbed my attention. Most of what I saw was basically just showing parallels between Lucas' writing and classic literature concepts.

I'm a MONSTER fan.. and neither held my attention

Star Wars Tech... not so much.

Legacy Revealed... absolutely great. The most academic look at the Saga out there. Very nice.
That was wonderful! Bravo! I loved that! Ah, that was great! Well, it was pretty good. Well, it wasn't bad. Uh, there were parts of it that weren't very good though. It could have been a lot better. I didn't really like it. It was pretty terrible. It was bad. It was awful! It was terrible! Take 'em away! Boo! Boo!

Eh. It was okay. But IMHO, for the most academic look at Star Wars (though some of the same was covered in Legacy)...get yourself these DVD's from this benchmark series that aired back in 1988:

Great stuff. Includes interviews with George Lucas.

Yes, I have watched (most of) these on PBS, and you are correct, they are fantastic. But I like that Legacy is 100% Star Wars specific. I guess the reason I was happy with Legacy is that it wasn't rehashed "it almost didn't get made" and "no one believed in it" interviews I've seen so many times before, which is what I was expecting.

Star Wars Tech- Zzzzzz... A Bunch of Nerds talking about how hard it would be to make an actual Light Saber or Land Speeder? It's Called Science FICTION, because it id fantasy, not discussed on how realistic it is....

Legacy Revealed was pretty good though...
