2 Orange County Sheriff's Deputies Shot Near Disney World

Two Orange County sheriff's deputies were shot near the Walt Disney World Resort.
Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Solomons confirmed that one deputy was shot in the arm and the other in the vest at the Caribe Royale Resort at 8101 World Center Drive shortly after 11 a.m.
Both men had non-life threatening injuries and were airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. The sheriff’s office identified the deputies as Curtis Barnes and John Siller.
Barnes and Siller interrupted three suspects in the middle of an auto burglary, where at least one suspect opened fire on the two deputies. They were shot while executing a tactical retreat.
Two of the suspsects were captured shortly after the encounter, on or near resort property. The third man was arrested after an extensive search at a nearby apartment complex.
