Re: 'Ratatouille' discussion thread (merged threads)

I saw this movie yesterday and I liked it, it had a cute storyline. It's not my favorite Pixar movie. If I did some other comparisons to other Pixar movies, Finding nemo, Cars, and Toy Story captured more of the emotion in their stories than Ratatouille. IMHO.

At one point in the movie I had a flashback to the movie *Willard*, the 1971 classic movie, Eeek! which kind of freaked me but the RATS were good in this one.

Finally got to see it today. Thought it was great. Animation and story were very good and the humor was just perfect. I say that CGI Animation is truly Pixar's domain and they really have the water effect down pat now. Also that short about the guy being captured by the flying saucer was hilarious. Just so well done all the way around. I don't know if it's really Pixar's best movie but it sure is the funniest. And way up high on the list.

Actually I had the same thoughts, but the way that Pixar has done this movie is so clever and the "rats" are so cute, that it just sort of doesn't matter. I would recommend it very highly. It's a cute movie very well done. All your fears of Rats in the kitchen are transfered to the humans in the movie.

"Ratatouille" is the most solid, inventive, and imaginative film from Pixar, yet. I was thoroughly impressed, and it makes me all the more curious about what "Wall*E" has in store.
