I have heard the buzz about another happening but it's cool to see that their actually going ahead with it.

What impresses me the most is to read that Shia LaBeouf has a roll.
I have enjoyed Shia since Even Stevens and it's great to see a talented young Disney Channel actor raise and grow and successful career. You are going to see him really go places.

My wife has made that photo our windows background. You think she's excited about this one?

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I too was concerned that Harrison would look way too old by the time that this film rolled around, especially when it has been rumored for SO long. Seeing this picture gives me new hope, though. Sure, he looks old as Indy, but not as old as Ford REALLY looks. The time span between this one and The Last Crusade easily puts him around that appearance anyways, especially if he continued all of his rugged adventuring in between.

As for Shia, I'm really excited. I've been pleased with his work in feature films, and I'm really looking forward to Transformers now after reading an advanced review. Shia seems to quickly be gaining popularity and fame in Hollywood, all for the better IMHO.

Re: First Official Indiana Jones 4 Photo!

I have mixed feelings about this. I love the Indian Jones movies, and I love Harrison Ford, but seeing an old Indy? I'm not so sure. It's like going back to my old house that I grew up in. There is a new family living there and sometimes I wonder how they may have changed it and if they would ever let me in. But then I think, no. I'll just remember it how it was when I lived there. Do I remember the young Indy, or take my chance with the "new" old Indy?

18 years is a long time to wait between films. But, as Twist_of_Fate said, if the story takes place in the 1950s, it would make sense that Indy would look older anyway, even 18 years older. When did The Last Crusade take place, anyway? Was it 1938? That would mean this film could take place around 1956.

This situation is not unheard-of, though; Clark Gable played the lead in 1932's Red Dust, then replayed essentially the same role (with a different character name) in the remake, 1953's Mogambo. That's a 21 year difference. So Indy's 3 years ahead of that curve.

While he wasn't "old" in the first trilogy, he wasn't a exactly a young whipper snapper either! I think he looks great!

    Gotta love the hat!

It's great to see Harrison Ford back in proper clothing.

Yep. And that was a just candid off-camera photo taken by Spielberg of him resting between takes. When you get proper movie lighting and all sorts of other tricks they use to make older actors look younger onscreen...and when he gives the audience that smile and sly grin of his with his sparkling eyes...I think he'll be just fine.

I'm more concerned about his voice than his appearance. In all the stuff I've seen him in recently as well as seeing and speaking to him in person recently at an event we attended...his voice seems to have dropped a bit and does sound older, lower and slower. I hope he can get his octave up a notch or two to better match his clear and sharp voice from the previous films.

But knowing Hollywood...they can probably "fix" that too.
