It came out this week. This was probably my favorite show on TV at the time (well, that and Facts of Life). I had a huge crush on Ricky Schroeder back then. He really was freakin' adorable at the time.
And I admit I picked up a copy of this tonight. Best Buy has it for $19.99 and I got the last copy at my store. Watched 5 episodes so far and man that brought back memories! "Me and Mr. T" had me rolling!
I was a fan of Derek. I still love Jason Bateman. Love love love him. I think I'll look into getting that set!! Can't have too many DVDs with train sets in the living room.

19.99 is good! How is the rewatchability factor? My husband from Ireland has never heard of SS. That was one of my all time favorite shows as a kid. I would have never known it was available on DVD. Thanks for posting!
^^ Re-watchability seems good. I hadn't seen these episodes in almost 25 years so I've been laughing my butt off! I can't get over how twisted Derek was!
I probably won't buy it unless I get really bored this summer. I have been watching it on YouTube though. It is pretty funny actually. Ricky was so cute. I had quite a crush on him back then.

It's a lot more cheesy than I remember it being! At this point I'm watching it for all of the Jason Bateman scenes. He's awesome! I like when he excuses himself to go finish his favorite book, the gospel of Luke, before bedtime. He seems like the 80s version of Eddie Haskell.
Oh totally. I wish they'd release his show "It's Your Move" on DVD. I want to see the Dregs of Humanity episodes again! I found a couple clips of them on You Tube but the quality is crappy.

I got Charles in Charge Season 1 for my birthday. I watched more today - I'm about haklfway through. It's so great!
