Disney Store Cooks Up the Fun This Summer With Exclusive Merchandise From Disney's Animated Feature Ratatouille

PASADENA, Calif., June 27, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Disney Store is bringing some Parisian flavor to your local mall this summer with its exclusive offering of toys, apparel and home goods themed after Disney Pixar's summer comedy film, Ratatouille.
Disney Store designers worked with the Pixar creators to bring the magic of the film home to the entire family...a full set of plush friends, interactive toys and colorful tees await gourmands inspired by Remy and his pursuit to become Paris' greatest chef. A "Smell and Speak" interactive Remy (SRP $34.50) is a fun way to teach little tykes the names and uses of foods. A chubby plush Emille puppet devours toy morsels (SRP $24.50), the complete set of hand-painted character action figures that actually talk (SRP $12.50/each) and plush youth costumes add to hours of imaginative role play (SRP $29.50 each).
Delight the gourmet in kids and parents alike with coordinating chef sets, which include aprons, hats and oven mitts (SRP $14.50 -- $19.50). Start grooming those soon-to-be master chefs at home with a kids' cooking set (SRP $16.50), which includes a full set of kitchen essentials: 10 cup non-slip bowl, measuring cup and spoons, whisk, cake pan and more! Kids can then enjoy their master creations en plein air with the portable Picnic Set: a delightful pair of plates, cups and utensils cleverly packaged in a fold-up picnic table (SRP $19.50.)
Enjoy good taste entertaining with hors d'oeuvres plates, mugs, cloth napkins and coasters (SRP $12.50 -- $24.50), all hand decorated in French blue on white ceramic and reminiscent of a Left Bank bistro. Clever character cheese spreaders, Remy topped corkscrew and bottle stoppers (SRP $9.50 -- $19.50) add a charming sense of fun to summer cocktail parties.

I never need a reason to go to the Disney Store. The CM at my local store all know me by name. (I can't decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing.)

I saw them yesterday (we just got ours in) and I was kind of upset that they aren't like tradable Disney pins they're more like big movie theater buttons.
They're really cool though and I'm making someone get me one at work cause I'm out of town this weekend

Yeah, not sure why they're calling it a pin when it's not. You'd think Disney, of all people, knows the difference between a pin and a button. Maybe this was a Children's Place thing.

BTW, if you see the movie at the El Capitan, they're giving them away there after the movie. We ended up getting the full set thanks to a nice CM. We stopped by a Disney Store today to get our "free pin" and when we realized it was the same thing we got the set of last night, we just left.

Does anyone have a picture of it??

And yah... if it has a needle thing-a-ma-jig... that's a pin. But I too thought it would be like a tradeable pin found in the disney parks.

Here's what the entire set looks like. You get one for each ticket that you show at a Disney Store. The attachment on the back is the same kind that you would see on a nametag like the CMs wear or that you can purchase yourself. It's a button to me, not a pin. They've been making movie buttons forever.

Hey, those are great! I wish the Disney Store by me didn't close down. Oh wait... it didn't. It just changed locations in the mall! Dang it.

I ripped a hole in my pants. Does anyone have a saftey button I can borrow?

    LOL What?????

Um, so, can you pick whatever one you want, when you show them your stub?
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Ummm, yeah, well, that would be a safety pin on the back of the buttons. I don't know why people have such a hard time telling the difference between a button and a pin, but whatever. Try taking one of these buttons and trading them with a cast member for a pin. Ain't gonna work.

I don't know if they just hand you one or if you can choose, but it would be limited to whatever they have in supply nonetheless.

I really wanted an Ego one.
