    Singin' In The Rain

Here is a clip from "Hollywood Revue Of 1929" from MGM. Can anyone tell me what this has to do with Disney? WARNING: there is text at the beginning of the clip that gives the answer away. Please close your eyes until you hear audio. (about 20 seconds)

"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Well Cliff Edwards voiced Jiminy Cricket. So that is my guess.
    The voice is unmistakable.

Of course you're right. This is a smart crowd!

Cliff Edwards introduced "Singin' In The Rain" in this film. I think it's a charming performance typical of the era.

This is a great clip and is included on the SE DVD version of Sining in the Rain. All the songs in the film had been around for years and used in many other films. The bonus disc includes clips from the other films that the songs appeared in.

I was amazed with clip. I didn't know that song was really that old and yes I hear Jiminy Cricket alright.

    Thanks for showing this video.
