Re: Victoria Beckham - Coming to America

They are creating a media sensation over them here in America with this TV series, but I swear it's because the Beckhams want it that way. It's not because we really care that they're coming here.

They aren't major stars here....the Spice Girls weren't that big a deal and soccer (sorry, football) remains not a big deal here. So while we appreciate that they're the King and Queen of British tabloids, they barely rate a cover here.

I'm happy he's coming--I hope he somehow can make soccer a major sport here. It's my favorite to watch, so I'm excited!

I mean people love her here, but only because she's so funny to watch.
Before this show I had never heard her speak before. Now that I've seen this I like her, she's funny. The show worked for me.

    I agree.

Looks like from what I've read that it's only a one hour special. It was supposed to be a series but it was cut down to one episode. Which is too bad I'd love to see more.

It will re-air on Bravo Thursday night. I and some others asked when it would be on again. I missed it the first time around!

She's on the front page of the LA Daily News with her son at soccer practice in Woodland Hills... a co-workers son is on the same soccer club as her son and said that she was one of the nicest people he's ever met and the son is very well mannered and a great player!
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

I must admit, I was prepared to be annoyed by her and the show, but I found her quite charming. You really get a sense that she is quite bright and intelligent. Her comments were very sharp and smart. I agree with others, for some reason she may be suffering from the public's expectation that you cannot be beautiful AND smart.

Looking forward to more of this.

I'm watching the show right now and Victoria is hilarious! She has a great sense of humor and some of the things that come out of her mouth are priceless. I am very glad this show was aired a second time.

Re: Victoria Beckham - Coming to America

I watched this last night, happened to catch it on the rerun and I quickly added it to my list of recorded shows. We were cracking up watching this show. My favorite scene is when she went to the Beverely Hills Socialites party.

All I kept thinking watching that was, This is what happens when women have TOO much money and TOO much time on their hands. Save Victoria, I don't think there was an original face left in the room.

Also, was that Trumps ex in the room?

You too? Did you get a kick when she found Perez Hilton at his "office" (AKA Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) to confront him about the stuff he's been saying about her?

Totally looked like her. I thought the same thing too!

Would be nice if they did but I think it's only a one hour special. I'm glad I got to watch the rerun Thursday night.
